You're basically correct, but my observation is also correct. Luke jumps 1900 years between verse 24 and 25. In the verses preceding verse 25, all is about 70 AD. Verse 21 makes the geographical center Judea. Verse 24 shows the murder and dispersion of the "THIS PEOPLE" - Judah. Verse 25 jumps to a set of circumstances that are always connected to the "Day of the Lord". See Isa.13-9-10, Joel 2:10, Acts 2:20 and Revelation 6:12-13.

Luke 21:24 is speaking of the Jews in judea on the day of the Lord in verse 25.Same people who fall by the sword and are exiled from the kingdom into all nations on the day of the Lord.

see day of the Lord Amos 5

Amos 5

The Day of the Lord

18 Woe to you who long
for the day of the Lord!
Why do you long for the day of the Lord?
That day will be darkness, not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion
    only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall
only to have a snake bite him.

20 Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light—
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?

21 “I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
your assemblies are a stench to me.
22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
    I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
23 Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.

24 But let justice roll on like a river,
    righteousness like a never-failing stream!

25 “Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel?
26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king,
    the pedestal of your idols,
    the star of your god[b]
    which you made for yourselves.
27 Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,”
says the Lord, whose name is God Almighty.

If only they had chosen the right king of Israel and not the beast they serve today.

When the OP spells the M word correctly, then I will answer (i.e. give my interpretative opinion to) the OP. (hehe)

Jerusalem.

It's the United states armed forces that place the abomination of desolation. It will be placed in many cities throughout the middle east.Jesus only mentioned jerusalem but the US armed forces will desolate many cities.Damascus will be another for example. It takes place after the Muslim jihad has conquered Israel and are celebrating their conquest in Jerusalem.

Bold prediction.

Gog does not come to Jerusalem when it is desolated.Christ and the resurected saints do.

Zech 14

And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

It's not all the saints. What about those that are being saved by fleeing into the valley? According to Matt 25 and Rev 20, not even all the righteous that enter in to the kingdom of God are resurrected at the 2nd advent.

This "and all the saints with thee." is better understood as 'holy ones' and is probably holy angels. The term "qə·ḏō·šîm" is used for God and even a council, it's not exclusive to people who have achieved saint status in the eyes of God.

The people fleeing in zech 14:5 are fleeing from the abomination of desolation  which the armed forces place in Jerusalem. After that, the saints of Israel recieve the kingdom, and they shall live there in peace without walls or fences.

No, they are fleeing to safety as God's wrath is about to be poured out, as verse 3 explains.

No, they are fleeing to safety as God's wrath is about to be poured out, as verse 3 explains.

The saints in Israel are imprisoned and murdered for their testimony of Jesus during the last 42 months in Israel. They are fleeing from no man.

Daniel 11:33-35

“Wise leaders will give instruction to many, but these teachers will die by fire and sword, or they will be jailed and robbed.
During these persecutions, little help will arrive, and many who join them will not be sincere.

And some of the wise will fall victim to persecution. In this way, they will be refined and cleansed and made pure until the time of the end, for the appointed time is still to come.

You claim they are saved by fleeing.

No one is saved by God because of their physical ability. You should know better.

This is who is fleeing. And this is what they get for disobeying God.And yes, they will flee as it says in Deuteronomy 28:25.

Deuteronomy 28

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

20 The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

21 The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.

22 The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

24 The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

25 The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

All this suddenly comes upon them on the day of the Lord .They that have broken God's commandments will flee from their enemies. They that have kept God's commandments, their enemies will flee from them.
