The Mouth Of Lions

Daniel 6:

22 My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me,

because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.

Daniel's deliverance was two-fold,

for he was also delivered from the mouths of His accusers.

12 And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king’s decree:

“Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days,

except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?”

15 Then these men approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law

of the Medes and Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.”

25 Then King Darius wrote:

To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth:

Peace be multiplied to you.

26 I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men

must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel.

For He is the living God,
And steadfast forever;
His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed,
And His dominion shall endure to the end.
27 He delivers and rescues,
And He works signs and wonders
In heaven and on earth,
Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

28 So Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

The decree endures unto the end

2 Timothy 4:

16 At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them.

17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me,

and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. 

To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

Always was fascinate by the bible account of Daniel and his 3 companions. Because they were taken from their parents to a foreign land and still obeyed God, therefore they must have had great training from their parents. Faced with death and still put faith in God.

Prov 12:6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

I always saw the mouth of the upright as the LORD

Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

And as "the way" said by the Father

Luke 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
