The saying B.C. (Before Christ) is spoken in error; because there was nothing “before Christ.” Christ is “before all things”as is written….

Colossians 1:12-17

King James Version

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, (((the firstborn)))of every creature:

16 For (((by him were all things created,)))that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: (((all things were created by him,)))and for him:

17 And (((he is before all things,))) and by him all things consist.”

Before Christ was born on Earth. Perfectly appropriate.

You are expressing Jesus when he was in the form of God as spoken of by John and Paul, not the human form of Jesus.   We consider the transition of BC to AC as being when he set aside the form of God and transitioned into a human through childbirth from a virgin.  Before Christ, he was Yahweh.

Before Jesus ( the man) would be perfectly appropriate, but Christ was “before all things” as is written, so B.C. (Before Christ) is in error.

Well we wouldn’t say B.G. (Before God) either would we?😊

Was he Christ before he was born, or was he Yahweh,

Christ is the Word of God, by which “all things were created.” So yes, Christ was “before all things”, as is written….17 And (((he is before all things,))) and by him all things consist.”

You know who came up with the idea of B.C. (Before Christ)?

It was A Catholic monk. (Go figure)😊

Catholic monk Dionysius Exiguusinvented the BC/AD system almost 1500 years ago, circa 525 AD
