Part 3

“Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter's clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay.” (Dan 2:41 NKJV)

The “division” of this “kingdom” is that…it is part “iron” and part “clay” different substances. However this kingdom’s “strength” is the iron…iron…in Daniel…is often referred to as idols and false gods…and the devouring teeth of the beast…evil.

So “iron” here in Daniel, is certainly in reference to rule…while “clay” is likely a reference to “men or man including Israel” simply because this is probably occurring during the first century under Roman oppression? Rome symbolized by the iron…Israel and perhaps including man in general…as symbolized by what was once noted as potter’s clay.

Now…with the proximity of the “clay – Israel/man” to the “iron - Satan”…and their being in the same context…in the same “image”…I see both of them existing as evil…with Satan/beast “influencing or ruling - iron” over the “potter’s clay” Israel/man…which may indicate that initially it is yet “fashionable by hands” if you will…into something intentional for the beasts plans…I say that because it is all to be destroyed.

Interestingly this “potter’s clay” appears to have become “fired or baked” at some point…because it is now “ceramic”…this looks to indicate that is had been “shaped into a form” and then “baked” to a more permanent non malleable brittle hardness…that is breakable and can be and “is” crushed.

So I see the “beast/Rome” ruling over Israel/humanity while molding it into its desired form…and then baking it into a hardened “vessel” for use by the devil.

“And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile.” (Dan 2:42 NKJV)

These “toes” being included as part of the feet…perhaps indicate a number…10…beings who are comprised of part iron and part clay…human and demonic…who perhaps represent the ruling element of the feet of this “image.” In which the “clay” element is now becoming the baked “ceramic”…and this through the rule of “Rome - iron” combined with rulers of “Israel – clay” and formed or hardened into the “vessel” shall we say…representing the beasts desire or vision and to be used for the beasts purposes…remember this whole image is ultimately reduced to what can be blown away in the wind.

“As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.” (Dan 2:43 NKJV)

This alerts me to the idea that the first “they” in vs. 43 they will mingle with the seed of men” is referencing beings clothed upon in spiritual darkness…identified as “iron” in these passages…whose character is that of “iron” which is described as unbending, inflexible, merciless, ruthless, destructive and murderous…which produces fear in humans to cause them obey.

These demonic personages will “mingle, meddle or interact” with humanity…Israel. Of course…a jealous Satan in his bid to become the heir to the throne of God along with his cohorts…attempts to convince Israel that he is their god…via a rule of fear…and it works unto Israel’s destruction save a remnant.

That is until the “stone” cut off the mountain comes smashing down upon these toes and feet…thereby progressively destroying this mixture of…“iron and now hardened clays”…ability to rule by fear…over some.

Vs. 43b “they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another” this “mingling” looks to be an attempt at “blending” two disparaging “elements or materials…iron and clay” or the rulers and the ruled over. Both of which are listed as an existent element in this “satanic image” which creates “instability” in the feet no less…in other words…the basis of this kingdom’s stability…and is most assuredly comprised of evil spirits. Sounds like a mess…

Conclusion and part 4

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.” (Dan 2:44 NKJV)

“In the days of these kings”…is when all of this is to have it genesis…first century as I see it. It was in these days that the “kingdom of God” (Stone) came to the earth as the “Son of God…Yahshua Christ” He brought the Spirit kingdom to earth and established it…in Himself…as the first born of many sons. Hence its earthly genesis…it will continue over at least the next two thousand years to grow in authority and power.

The Son of God…the pattern Son…the archetypical Son…who brings forth many sons to God…these are they who are led by the Spirit of God…those which the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of…those sons of God through faith in Yahshua Christ…the ones who are predestined to adoption as sons to Himself…those sons whom the Father chastens because He deals with them as sons…yeh that Son of God and those sons of God in Him…yeh we are getting a picture of the completed Christ here.

After all…isn’t that who Daniel saw above the waters? Isn’t that who Ezekiel encountered as wheels within a wheel? Isn’t that who John described as the four living creatures? Rarely do I encounter anyone who realizes these truths…and less who even care.

People often forget that all scripture was given to reveal in some way our Fathers single desire in the establishing of creation…the heavens and the earth…which was to bring forth a man in the image and likeness of Himself…our Father wants to be known, seen and experienced in His creation…first there was Adam…he failed…then there was the Lord Yahshua Christ who did not fail…however God was not done there…no…He is going to bring forth that which He set out to bring forth…Father new the end of all matters before any of it began.

In these last days of creation…the Lord Yahshua Christ is raising up and bringing forth the completed desire of His Father…a “fully mature son” brought forth by His Holy Spirit…from every tribe, tongue, people and nation…the Body of Christ. The Lord Yahshua Christ is it Head and His Body is to be fully proportional to its Head…measuring up to the full stature of Yahshua Himself.

That “Mature Man…the Son of God…Head and Body” is who Daniel, Ezekiel and John encountered…the completed and perfected Son of God…God knew His people in advance, before creation was put into existence and He chose them to become like His Son, that is why His Son would be known as the firstborn among many brothers.

That is why I say we were not put here to argue and debate about scripture…but rather to learn from the Holy Spirit the meaning of scripture which testifies of the Lord Yahshua Christ…and to grow up into our divinely intentioned calling or the purpose for which we were predestined to live out…as the sons of God.

Tatwo…

Well, I think Daniel 2:44 has to end result because kingdoms are still existing and God's have not destroyed them. Verse 34 stated that the stone was cut out not by hands, verses 39-41 speaks of other kingdoms coming after Babylon. Its a cession of kingdoms that eventually will be destroyed by Gods kingdom.

In Daniel chapter 2, Nebuchadnezzar sees the Stone strike the feet of the metal man image. Does this symbolize an event at the time of the Messiah or an end-time event and why?

I believe it is an end time event, notice that the statue still stands after Babylon falls, the gold head is still left on and after the Medes fall to the Greece the silver shoulders are still in place and when Greece falls the bronze waist still remains and the last Roman empire the legs of Iron are still there. even though all these empires no longer have there power the statue still stands. Its not until Christ returns does this statue fall. Why? what does this statue symbolize? In my opinion this statue represents Babylon, spiritual Babylon

When the statue is struck at the feet I believe it symbolizes the destruction of kingdoms that rule over the nations, when the feet are crushed the statue falls, it can't stand with crushed feet. Then Babylon is destroyed when the statue is broken to pieces.

It is interesting to note in revelation 18 verse 21 a mighty angel picks up a large bolder the size of a large mill stone and throws it into the sea and it is said in with such violence the great city Babylon will be thrown down.

Egypt, Sodom Rome are all types of Babylon. I don't believe the verses are pointing to pagan Rome, but to Babylon

Thanks for your thoughts!

I certainly agree with you that the statue is NOT destroyed when the Stone strikes the feet AND BREAK THEM APART. The term “them” (imo) is purposely pointing to the iron and clay elements WITHIN the feet only. There is no reason to mention the two elements if the entire statue was destroyed. God has carved out this Stone (Messiah) to symbolically strike the feet (not the toes) and break apart (not destroy) the two elements within the symbolic 4th kingdom.

Symbolically, the clay, the only non- metallic element represents His people that are kept / controlled within the powerful pagan Roman Empire. They are controlled just as all the other conquered nations but God will use “clay” to symbolize His people because He has chosen them to play such a major part in His plan of salvation.

The 4th kingdom period is when EVERYTHING HAPPENS. Everything comes together near the beginning of pagan Rom:

1) pagan Rome conquers almost the entire world and has no problem stepping on or over any nation. Any people out of line they destroy- absolutely no compassion or conscious.

2) This is all going to take place at the end of the 70 weeks of years prophecy- (457 BC to 33/34 AD or the completion of the literal 490 years.

3) Despite Israel not being a warrior nation, and pagan Rome always having a heavy hand on all those they conquer, they did allow the Jews a sense of autonomy in that they allowed them to worship this “invisible God” if theirs. And God would appropriately symbolize this by having Israel (clay) sitting at the end of the feet along with the toes. Meaning, although the clay was contained within the iron (but would not mix with the iron), and the toes could not escape from being attached to the feet, there was some sense of separateness from the “pure iron legs and feet.”

4) At the time of the coming Messiah (last week in the prophecy) the Jews were expecting their Messiah to come - but as a conquering king who would physically battle pagan Rome. And this would of course have the same effect - He would essentially destroy pagan Rome and separate His people from the oppressive pagan Rome. But that was not God’s plan. He WOULD separate His people from pagan Rome but in a spiritual way. The cross would allow God (The Potter) to choose those of His people that would accept Him as their Messiah (Potter’s clay), while those Jews who would reject Him would be identified as “Ceramic clay (they were too hardened to be used by God to spread the Good News to the world). You can find this “division” revealed in verses 2:41-43. These verses provide the details of the results after the Stone breaks apart the iron and the clay. It is clear that in these verses, the 4 kingdoms are NOT destroyed but God gives us the post-cross results (post Stone striking the feet only). Consequently, this is exactly what occurred at His first coming. After the cross, those “Pottery Clay” would go out into the world and start His church. Those that continued to reject He was their Messiah would continue in all their pre-cross ways.

5) Chapter 2, like other chapters in Daniel is presented not in a chronological order or timeline. Instead, it has 2 major sections: a Dream sequence section which is the “big picture” or a recording of the major events, and an Interpretation sequence section. In this section, for example verses 2:41-43, they tell us the “details” that will take place WITHIN those “Dream sequence verses.” Consequently, in chapter 2, the Dream sequence has only 6 parts- God reveals the 4 and only 4 kingdoms that He will establish WITHIN His prophecies in the book of Daniel, AND, the ONLY two ACTIONS that will be mentioned - verse 2:34 represents His first coming, and 2:35 represents His second coming some 2000 years later. This sets Gods “blueprint” for the period 606 BC to His second coming. Chapters 7,8 9, and 11 provide so much “details” that will occur largely WITHIN the 70 weeks of years prophecy (this is the most important time in man’s history- the arrival of our Messiah).

6) If you notice that in chapter 2, the 10 toes, the Jews, and pagan Rome are ALL shown within the iron kingdom (legs and feet). But in chapter 7, AFTER THE CROSS (AFTER THE STONE SEPARATES THE IRON AND THE CLAY ONLY), the 10 toes are now presented as “coming outside of the “indescribable 4th beast kingdom of pagan Rome. They have been symbolically been set free from the control of pagan Rome. And the Jews that have accepted Jesus are also now outside of pagan Rome- they began His church.

And if you notice, chapter 7 still presents the first 3 kingdoms as being alive and well with the ONLY changes from chapter 2 to 7 having taken place in the 4th kingdom of pagan Rome. Meaning, the Stone striking the feet did not alter, eliminate or affect the first 3 kingdoms. It only broke apart the elements WITHIN the 4th kingdom of pagan Rome.

Let me know what you think.. thanks, Charlie
