God bless you all.

Firstly, I'd like to thank George for his Worthy Brief dated today, April 15. Inspirational to say the least.

This thread is an extension of my initial “welcome” post: The Lamb’s Supper – Preparation. This subject has a substantial backstory, found in the mystery:

[W]e speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age knew it. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Cor. 2:7, 8)

God had hidden a mystery in the Law of Moses in the seven holy days*, and He fully revealed it in the Book of Revelation with the end-time seals**:

1.       Passover*: Lamb of God Sacrificed

2.      Feast of Unleavened Bread*: Christ in the Burial Tomb

3.      Feast of First Fruits*: Christ Resurrected

4.      Feast of Weeks (Pentecost)*: Holy Spirit sent to the Disciples

5.      Feast of Trumpets*: The Rapture/The Day of the Lord/Sixth Seal**

6.      Day of Atonement*: The Apocalypse/Armageddon/Seventh Seal**

7.      Feast of Tabernacles*: The Millennial Kingdom/Seventh Seal**

“The glorious riches of this mystery… is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Col. 1:27)

Here's an explanation of the above:

Our eternal God inspired Scripture.

As God is the author, the mystery once hidden in the Old Testament must be in complete agreement with the mystery revealed in the New Testament.

In the New Testament, John gave us seven seals in Revelation.

In the Old Testament, Moses gave us seven holy days in the Law.

Thus, God gave us a numbered chronology in the Law and in Revelation.

Importantly, the mystery of God reveals the harmony between the Law and Revelation: The mystery, once hidden in the Law of Moses, is fully revealed in the Book of Revelation.

God revealed this harmony between the Law and Revelation in the following way: Regarding the end times, God numbered “The End” (end-time prophecies) in the beginning of the Bible (the Law, through Moses), and God numbered “The End” (end-time prophecies) at the end of the Bible (the Book of Revelation, through John). And these two witnesses agree.

The numbered chronology given by Moses in the Law (with the fall holy days), and the numbered chronology given by John (with the end-time seals), reveal God’s mystery for the end times. And this mystery contained the order of end-time events: the Rapture (to save and glorify Christ’s kingdom), the Apocalypse (to redeem Israel), and finally, the timing of the Millennial Kingdom (Christ’s reign from Jerusalem as King after His second coming to Israel).

The numbered chronologies of Moses and John align perfectly, forming one unified template. Thus, all end-time propheciesgiven by the prophets and disciples—drop right into this divine order.

Christ will fulfill the mystery in the fall holy days and end-time prophecies with His second revelation (appearing) exactly as given.

And God has given us a precedent: Christ already fulfilled the mystery in the four spring holy days with His first coming in the first century A.D.

The Law of Moses, the Book of Revelation, and the revelation of the mystery form a matrix of truth that cannot be broken. The common thread of the mystery extends from the Law to Revelation—and pulls together the entire Bible.

That said...

I don't expect everyone to agree with everything posted.

If there is a difference of perspective, please know we can respectfully agree to disagree, and move forward.

My prayer is that our collective knowledge will take this subject to another level.

The Lamb's Supper will be addressed at a later time in this thread.

Everyone of my posts after this will be shorter than this one...

Hi @revvel

Some of us here are interested in Biblical Numerology.

The number seven ties in with the cardinal locations of space, namely, up, down, front, back, right, left, and centre.

Isa 30:26  Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, And the light of the sun will be sevenfold, As the light of seven days, In the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people And heals the stroke of their wound.

Indeed, Biblical numerology is significant and representative, as is, “the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed, the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed.”

Care to expound on your example of Isaiah 30:26?

Michael: Our invisible God is manifested in creation in various ways—including repeating patterns rooted in various numbers: 40, 12, 7, in particular. This subject definitely deserves its own thread.

Dennis, yes: The New Testament is hidden in the Old Testament, and the Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament. It’s true. God has revealed the foundation of our future: the Law of Moses. And God must follow His own Law.

What follows is the outline of the holy days, and their “place” regarding the subject of the Bride and Bridegroom.

The Last Supper & The Lamb’s Supper & 7 Holy Days

The Last Supper

a.      The New (blood) Covenant, Betrothal Presented

b.      Prophecies of the Holy Spirit given: John 14, 15, 16

c.      Prophecy of the Bridegroom coming for His Bride: John 14:1-3

1.       Passover: Lamb of God Sacrificed

2.      Feast of Unleavened Bread: Christ in the Burial Tomb

3.      Feast of First Fruits: Christ Resurrected

4.      Feast of Weeks (Pentecost): Holy Spirit sent to the Disciples

d.     The Holy Spirit is given to all who embrace Christ as Lord (Rom. 10:9, 10).

A mystery revealed: one body, composed of Jew and Gentile, espoused to Christ. "For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy. For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ" (2 Cor. 11:2). In preparation, Christ gave us a new command: love (agape) (John 13:34, 35).

5.      Feast of Trumpets: The Rapture/The Day of the Lord/Day of Wrath/Sixth Seal

e.    The Last Supper prophecy/promise: Bridegroom fulfills His promise and returns for His Bride (seen in the sky (Rev. 6:16)) at the onset of the day of the Lord (mystery once hidden), and brings her (us) to His throne, and His Father’s House in Heaven (Rev: 7:9-17).

The Lamb’s Supper

Rev. 19:1-9. Christ already identified the multitude at the Supper: Rev. 7:9-17.

f. While the Bridegroom and Bride remain in the Father’s House in Heaven for 7+ years, Daniel’s 7-year prophecy (seventieth seven) unfolds for Daniel’s people, Israel on Earth: Rev. 11:3, 13:5.

6.      Day of Atonement: The Apocalypse/Armageddon/Second Coming to Israel/Seventh Seal

The parable of the Ten Virgins is for another post. Day of Atonement is the only day on the Hebrew calendar that atonement can be made for Israel.

7.      Feast of Tabernacles

The Millennial Kingdom/Seventh Seal

g.    The Bride with Her Bridegroom (the King) in His Millennial Kingdom; all nations will celebrate with the King the Feast of Tabernacles: "Then it will be that all the nations who have come against Jerusalem and survived will go up each year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles" (Zech. 14:16).

Until our Lord’s return: “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ Let him who hears say, 'Come’” (Rev. 22:17).

I place this on the table for discussion.

Peace.

Space Location = Time Duration = Presence Revelation

That is the package I have provided. In the Bible we are given various packages that express certain things God wants us to be aware of, and these often come to us with symbolic numerations. Three is associated with combined strength, seven with perfect completion.

Isa 30:26  Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, And the light of the sun will be sevenfold, As the light of seven days, In the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people And heals the stroke of their wound.

God’s word is fascinating, written at such a level that only the Creator of the universe could have inspired it. The Gospel is written so simply that a child can understand it. It is so deep, the deeper we dig the more there is to discover. I suspect we are only scratching the surface of what can be learned this side of being tutored by the Lord Himself.

Many generally read past numbers, names, and genealogies as insignificant. I have a long list of numbers and their general association or application as you mention (posted at the end).

Hebrew and Greek names are also fascinating. Often, their names give a mini thumbnail about their occupation, character, traits, where they are from, etc. I have often wondered how the parents had that future insight when they were named.

Speaking of names, is it a coincidence the first ten generations are meaningful when written out in an understandable sentence? [credit: Dr. Chuck Missler]

FIRST TEN GENERATIONS

Adam (Man)

Seth (Appointed)

Enosh (Mortal)

Kenan (Sorrow)

Mahalalel - Mahalaleel (the blessed God)

Jared (shall come down)

Enoch (teaching)

Methuselah (His death shall bring)

Lamech (the despairing)

Noah (rest or comfort)

“Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest”

Our Bible is not a science book, but all the details given long before it was understood are amazing.

Lists vary, though. There are ongoing discussions about what particular numbers mean, some far fetched and others easily found in the Bible through repeated association.

The above list says 40 is trials, probation, testing, which is easily shown in the Bible, but then you might hear a message preached that 40 in the Bible signifies PREPARATION.

Michael: I appreciate that post; it has a direct connection to the parable of the Ten Virgins (discussed in a future post).

Dennis: I’ve never seen such a comprehensive presentation on numerology. Thank you.

Oversight: Yes to that.

...To continue this wonderful subject of the Bridegroom and His Bride...

The next holy day on God’s calendar to be fulfilled is the Feast of Trumpets.

The Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah: The Day of the Awakening Blast): Bridegroom and His Bride

In the time of Jesus, the Father decided when the Son comes for His Bride, to bring her to the Father’s House. When our Lord does descend from Heaven to gather us to the Father’s House, it is the Father who will sound the trumpet from Heaven announcing the arrival of His Son for us, His Bride:

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord…. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  (1 Thess. 4:15, 16)

In 1 Corinthians 15:52, Paul identified which trumpet God will sound: “the last trumpet” —which sounds on the Feast of Trumpets. In this prophecy, Paul quoted Isaiah and Hosea, revealing the mystery of our “hope of glory/glorification” once hidden in the Old Testament:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?” (1 Cor. 15:54, 55)

In Revelation 7, John also quoted Isaiah, revealing the mystery of our “hope of glory”:

“They shall neither hunger any more, nor shall they thirst any more; the sun shall not strike them. He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Rev. 7:16, 17)

Christ directed Paul and John to both quote Isaiah--which we know as Isaiah 25:8, and 49:10.

This is Christ’s narrative: He is directing us, His Bride, to search out the mystery once hidden in the prophets’ prophecies, revealing how our Bridegroom will deliver us and care for us—His Bride—and how the Father’s trumpet (shofar) corresponds to the Feast of Trumpets, heralding the day of the Lord, and the arrival of our Bridegroom.

We, in this day and time, can only thank God that we know this truth:

The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ Let him who hears say, 'Come.’ (Rev. 22:17)

It's only a matter of time.

Finally, Christ's revelation to Paul and John has a backstory: Moses at Mount Sinai, and our God presenting the marriage template. This same template is repeated in the New Testament.

Peace.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
