I do not believe Jesus indwells people. I believe His Spirit does. The Holy Spirit gives people the mind of Christ. That is the mindset of God an eternal, all powerful and loving but just Being.

John 14:20

On that day you will know that I am in the Father. You will know that you are in me and I am in you.

Romans 8:9

But you are not ruled by your sinful selves. You are ruled by the Spirit, if that Spirit of God really lives in you. But whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Christ
