Revelation 9:1

" And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fell from heaven unto the earth: and to HIM was given the key of the bottomless pit."

Now this I have examined very closely, and I have made a hypothesis.

1) It is Satan, or one of his elite demons, who is casted down.

This can't be a normal star we see in the sky, for a few reasons:

a. It is referred to as a HE, which usually means of male gender. Gaseous

stars have genders?

b. A gaseous star can't be given anything ( that would be illogical )

c. Gravity

d. A normal star would char the Earth before even arriving here

e. Would eliminate the rest of Revelation's prophecies. Wouldn't it?

This basically counts out any space object: asteroid, meteor, comet, etc.

Now, it can't be Jesus, for He is in His time of glory. This would totally contradict the book if Jesus fell. It can't be the Antichrist, nor the False

Prophet, because they are introduced after Satan falls.

I believe it is Satan, or one of his elite demons ( if he has any ). Why?:

a. Satan was referred to as the Morning Star when he was Lucifer, as are

angels referred to stars.

b. Satan has fallen before.

c. Satan is evil, so he will do anything to destroy God's people

However, I also think this is a briefing of Revelation 12:7-10. I think after

Satan fell, he was given the key to the bottomless pit.

Well, this is just a hypothesis. Whatever God plans for it to truly be, that is what it'll be. What I am doing is looking at it at a human point of view.

Isaiah 14:12

"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!

The Morning Star is Jesus

son of the morning is satan

Well then, I shall correct my above post.

But either way, angels are referred to as stars. Jesus is the MORNING STAR.

Ah. Note to self: Lucifer is NOT MORNING STAR.

My brother your non-dogmatic approach to you views speak volumes in my book. We all have our conclusions, which we may disagree in detail and of timelines on. It is our belief that CHRIST is coming again that binds us as brothers and sisters in CHRIST. As you said in your post."Whatever God plans for it to truly be, that is what it'll be." Yes, we are binded together because we are brothers and sisters in Christ.

I hope Our Lord does come soon. Because the way the world is going, I don't

see it lasting that much longer.

Here's something. In Toronto, after same sex marriages were made legal, they held a parade to celebrate. These people are proud of being immoral.

That sounds like Sodomy to me. A sign of the times. I just hope must come to

their senses, ask God to forgive their sins, and ask Jesus to come into their

lives.
