In Deuteronomy 15:5-6 The Lord told His people that they would be blessed “if they would carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord their God.”  Part of this blessing included the promise that the children of God would “reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.”  And this promise also included that His people would lend to other nations, but they would not have to borrow from them.

But in this day and age we see many wicked nations reigning over the people of God. This was because the people would not carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord their God and therefore the curses mentioned in the law also followed because of the rebellious nature of the people toward following God’s words. Thus we see the nations who were meant to “serve” the children of God instead became their “masters”, and who would also rule over them.

This made me think of the founding of this great Nation of the United States, that was founded on the belief in a form of government that was “by the people, and for the people”.  Basically a type of government that would “serve the people”, verses a people that would have to “serve the government’.  Though I’m sure the founders of this country were well intentioned in their desire to have a government which “served the people” this is not exactly what we see today.  What we see today is an ever growing government which is serving its own interests, will, and desires and not that of the common people.  This also goes to show, no matter how great a concept sounds on paper, any form of government established by men can be corrupted, even in the man-made church system.

One sign of this self serving style of government is that it passes laws that makes itself “immune” from the laws that it binds and enforces on the common people.   In this we see this self serving style of government is “protecting and serving” itself by making itself not subject to the law it imposes on others. It is a hypocrite who says “do as I say, not as I do.”

This self serving style of government also increases in size, power, and strength by feeding itself off of the wealth of the people.  This is done by imposing laws that benefit the government through mandatory taxes, fees, licenses, registrations, and by adding penalties, fines, and imprisonment on those breaking these many laws; which they mainly enforce on the common people, not on themselves. The more laws a self serving government pass, the more rights and freedoms the common people will lose. And the larger the government gets, the more that it covets to remain in power and to sustain it’s dominance over the people. Thus the more and more it takes from the people who serve it, the more and more it takes from them to remain in power.

It is written the rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is “servant” to the lender. And this is one of the curses God said would befall his people if they would not hearken to His voice. The system that is set up understands this concept of making the borrower “the servent’ to the lender; so it is in their own “self interest” to keep the people in want and also in debt in order to control the masses. Also by keeping the people in want and in debt they enrich themselves by collecting the interest on the debt the servant borrower owes it’s master the lender.

Sin is also like a debt that has to be paid, but unlike monetary debt you yourself cannot pay off your own sin debt.  This sin debt has to be forgiven in order for you to be made free and live free from the bondage of sin.  In this we also see how most of the people of the world are not truly “free”, even here in the so called “land of the free”. The people will never truly be free and alive to righteousness until they are made free from the debt of sin; and also made free from the monetary debt they have accumulated by lusting after the things of the flesh.  Just as it is written those who cease from sin will suffer in the flesh.

Sin reigning over mankind is also why the wicked now reign on this earth while the righteous man mourns.  Just as it is written, when the wicked rule, the people mourn.  Jesus told his disciples that they would weep and lament, but the world would rejoice, and we would be sorrowful, but our sorrow would be turned into joy.

It is also written, when the righteous are in authority, the people will rejoice. Be patient unto the coming of the Lord our Righteousness, and in the time to come when the righteous saints shall finally reign on earth; when the kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdoms of God and of His Christ.

Peace

At the risk of seeming arrogant, if a Christian is still patriotic towards a nation of this world, they have yet to break through the entire deceitfulness of our adversary the Devil, who prowls about like a roaring lion. The process of seeing is very painful indeed but eye opening. 'Tis ongoing...

This is what the Lord warned the children of Israel when they desired a king to reign over them instead of the Lord.

Samuel 8:6-22

King James Version

6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.

7 And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, “but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.”

8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

9 Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.

10 And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people that asked of him a king.

11 And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

12 And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

13 And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.

14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.

15 And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.

16 And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.

17 He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.

18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.

19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;

20 That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.

21 And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the Lord.

22 And the Lord said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his city.”

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
