This just might be where we're headed folks - the most liberal president ever, and dems will try (and probably be pretty successful) in deflecting criticisms of her as being racist or misogynistic.  So if Trumpville doesn't get it's act together really fast . . .

I look at this whole thing as a spiritual warfare and the 'end of days'.  When COVID came around and all of a sudden we were doing unconstitutional things like forbidding Christian worship even if precautions were taken and mandating shots (I am extremely suspicious of the medical establishment and do not really go to doctors much - maybe for diagnosis but not necessarily treatments as the Lord will help me once I know what I have, which I am barely ever ill), I could feel the evil in the air.  As a matter of fact, I could feel the evil long before COVID but like a cancer it came to a head.

That all said, I do not endorse idolizing either side of the political spectrum.  The left is definitely evil (LGBTQ+, abortions, free hand-outs to non-Americans while they invade, spurring wars, etc etc)  but the so-called right is anything but good.  I like the comparison of Trump to Cyrus.  Jonathan Cahn compares him to King Jehu.  The Philadelphia Church of God compares him to Jeroboam II (which I like that comparison the best) for what purpose? As it was with us and the ancient house of Israel before, the purpose is to BUY SOME TIME for America so that we repent and turn back to God. None of these leaders were what Christians today would call "saved" but they were definitely called by God for His purpose. People have this strange idea that to be called and used of God that they are "saved".

But when I pray for America and Israel (those of Judah), I say to the Lord that we need some sort of chance unless He  "wants to start the Tribulation soon" because I believe we are that closes to WW3 in the last 3 years whereas beforehand it did not look as dire other than the evil forces were setting thing up for this time (as I mentioned with COVID). If Kamala gets in, look up for your redemption draws nigh as other nations will destroy us and Revelation will unfold. The exception is a miracle I suppose.

I hafta say that both candidates scare me, but for different reasons.  Kamala, as you basically stated, will likely be the most liberal president, and her record certainly seems to support that.  And while I like a lot of things Trump did while in office, there are (of course) a number of things unsettling about him too.  And I have friends and church buddies that would say that it's just the left and media which are propagating lies about Trump, but at times I've sensed that he could be a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I don't think I could vote for Kamala under any circumstances, unless I had a super-strong and clear speaking from the Lord to do so. (He operates in very mysterious ways to us)  But I'm also very cautious about Trump - I pray a lot that the Lord will have His will in this election, whatever that may be!

Ya know, Vine Abider, I have to agree 100%.  What you said has crossed my mind, too.  And all these Christian voices are praising Trump like God's chosen. I'm sure the same will be said of Antichrist one day.  My stance is this:  based on Bible prophecy, if someone can help reform this nation, more power to them. But... as soon as I need a mark (specifically on the right hand or forehead), even if the mark is symbolic for doing and believing in some leader, and if that leader wants worship, and if it's "his way or the highway", then I must say to them, thanks for getting us out of this mess, but that's where I draw the line - follow God instead of trying to be God.

What is unsettling about Trump?  People say this, but are a little light on describing it.  All humans have their negative issues, but what is it that you find unsettling about him?

What is unsettling about Trump?  How much time do you have?

I'll just give you the two that drive me crazy.

[1] He speaks in harsh hyperbole [exaggeration].  Almost to the point of lies.  WHY DOES HE DO THAT?  Here's what he wrote in his book, "The Art of the Deal".  I'm literally quoting him.  "The final key to the way I promote is bravado. I play to people’s fantasies. People may not always think big themselves, but they can still get very excited by those who do. That’s why a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration — and a very effective form of promotion."

I taught literature and English.  There is NO SUCH THING as truthful hyperbole!

He looks unPresidential when he does this.  VERY unPresidential.

[2]  He insults people ALL THE TIME and has divided this country worse than Obama.  I remember reading one of his tweets a few years ago when he "outed" two Congressmen [a man and a woman] who were allegedly having an affair.  He thought he was so cute doing that.  All I could think of was HOW MANY WOMEN HAS HE HAD SEX WITH - adultlery, fornication.  He gave the appearance of a 7th grade boy tattling and looked unPresidential.

When Meryl Streep years ago came out against him, he had to go on a tirade about how she was not a very good actress.  When George Clooney flip-flopped about Biden, Trump just HAD to go on another tirade about about his acting skills and said he was really only a tv actor.

He just drives me up the wall.

Well we have all sinned.  Count yourself among the sinners.  I thought you were going to point out some unsettling policy that wrecked the country, or a move he made that went against his oath of office.  I am not talking about the 'lawfair' charges that democrats tried to bring against him, that failed.  What you are describing is what you think is an annoying personality.

Other politicians either unknowingly support bad policy, or they cause it to try to wreck the country.  I mean this literally.  The goal of a socialist is to replace capitalism with socialism, and the only way capitalism can fail is if you burden it with socialist policies, or allow government to meddle with it (called Crony Capitalism, versus Laissez Faire Capitalism which are real free markets).

Every democrat, lately, is the socialist type.  Kamala is one.  Trump did well because instead of trying to wreck the economy, he simply got the government and points-of-failure out of the way and allowed markets to run unhindered.  I will take that effort any day, over an annoying personality.

It's important to remember, who wins any democratic election is not a reflection of the candidate. It is a reflection of the voters.

And in a democracy, you not only get the government you want. You get the government you deserve.

Oh, my.  You asked a question.  I answered it and now  I am the sinner.  I admit I am a sinner.

You see Trump with an annoying personality.? I see him as very different than that!  I wish that the Trump lovers could have an honest conversation about him and him alone without bringing up Harris and Biden.

I had no idea I would upset the apple cart.

Good day.

Good day.

Yes, I asked Vine Abider a question.  You decided to answer so I very thoughtfully answered you.  I am not a 'Trump lover,' but I will vote him as he provides the only possibly solution to putting the Republic back on it's feet.  I see some problems with some of Trump's policies and choices, but I can actually articulate them.  I don't care that Trump's personalty upsets some people.  I am more worried about the socks that were mysteriously lost in the washer, than Trump upsetting people.  Who cares if some are upset with Trump's personality?  I could not care less if I actually meditated and tried to care less about it.

As for mentioning Kamala, she is what this thread is about.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
