After Trump, then what? I got to wondering about if the Republican party might  flip the Senate and maintain the House of Representatives at this year's 2024 elections, while losing the Presidency yet again. With control of the Senate I  suppose being key to the third branch the Judiciary, what will be the effect of a Trump loss, yet a Republican win?

Seems someone, published at Politico, wondered the same thing and wrote a pretty interesting article theorizing what the effect might be. The article  is titled " If Republicans Want to Win, They Need Trump to Lose — Big" by JONATHAN MARTIN 09/04/2024

In all of the what if's of USA politics this might become a reality. Do I think Trump is going to lose? Yes I do. Do I think Republicans might win both Senate and House  of Representatives even while losing the Presidential race. Yes I do.

Why? Good question! Maybe it is only my own hope for stalemate against two parties that have little to do with the needs and the hopes of individuals with a common national purpose, and are instead one common interest only parties seeking to hold onto and grow their individual fiefdoms.   I think that on a individual State level Republicans will have a stronger identity than will Democrats this time around. Yet at a national level few are going to chose Trump as President.

Trump has a strong  "Look, look everybody, it's our Moses!" following;  that is more a huge cult like following that has it's limited appeal, than it is a welcoming tent  that will gain popularity  and real support with what are called the undecideds or independents, which are  slightly more  in number than either political party of the duopoly.

While I know that stating  it is a cult like following will bring sharp response I say that is okay, for Trump himself states his followers will follow  him regardless of what he might do including murdering someone in downtown NYC in broad daylight.  I think he is absolutely right, in declaring himself to have the magnetism  that some will be pulled into  no matter what he does!

The desire is so strong in some for an abrupt change, one they feel  emotionally righteous about, that  the followers will remain a mob of Trumpers much like what showed up Jan 6 2021.

But the mob will not grow to a majority that votes; and so a really really poor Democrat candidate will win  2024 presidential election. Republicans will  once again have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Trump will win.  He won the 2016 and 2020 election with ease.  2024 is already a win.  Your hatred for Trump has blinded you.  You should give yourself a break and stay away from Democrat media, like Politico.

There is so much that I would like to say here at Worthy - not hating of Trump, but of trying to give a fair and balanced view of all.

I've tried, but to no avail.

Neighbor, my advice is to let this go here at Worthy.  For your sanity's sake.

Hi, Trump lost the popular vote in both 2016 and 2020 to Rodham-Clinton and then to Biden. When if he wins  this November I suspect he will have trailed in the total  nation wide popular vote. Now that he  is staying  with the  old Trump and saying he should fire his advisors for telling him to stay to the issues  of great importance and not ramble on  with mockery of his opponents he just will not win over undecided voters seeking solutions to the issues that they personally face. He just said his people love his mocking of his opponents. Seems to me a very low bar to set as one's standard, one unworthy of rewarding with leadership positions.

Trump is mired in the past with the once unfortunately popular "management by chaos" mode of management. Today  individuals are seeking validation in what they do by having some positive effect on others, including the poor, the downtrodden, and yes the environment. All the while Trump proclaims he doesn't like losers, and that all that are illegally in this country are gang members of the worst sort, insane,  or pedofiles.

He is now the one remaininggrumpy old man, he still wants to campaign against Biden when he needs or be selling  his own policy goals and yes sharing  anew of his past accomplishments as President. But he isn't doing it. He is making his appeal to the lowest of our  instincts, the very ones as Christian one works at avoiding or overcoming.

Do I hate Trump? No, I pity him mostly. Narcissist that he is, he is much like Lonesome Rose in the 1957 movie A Face In The Crowd. He blew the deal in 2020! He had all the opportunities, but he blew it and is just plain blowing the deal yet again in 2024.

It is already really too late to change voters opinions for 2024 he has been out maneuvered. The die is cast. 2025 will be most interesting, hopefully with a split of power between Senate run by Republicans and the executive branch run by who knows what to call  those two  Harris and her baby sitter as they aren't really Democrats they are pretty much antifa-ites.

God must be sorely anger with the USA is all I can figure. May God still maintain his mercy and grace upon us in spite of His anger if that is what it is. Hope is eternal though in that all things to work to together for good for those that  believe on Jesus as Lord God and personal savior. Hope that is certain is hope placed in Jesus .

You hate him.  It's hard for you to conceal your hatred for him.  You are obsessed by Trump.

@Jayne gave you some sound advice to let it go here at Worthy, for your own sanity's sake.  I second the motion, for your own sanity.

Hi, and thanks!  Yep the die is already cast. Perhaps the only winning move is not to play the game. But I am having a bit of what might I call it solace time after RFK Jr. folded up completely to support Trump. We certainly will not get 5% of the popular vote now and  the Unity Party prospects for 2026 are pretty much in the toilet. Seems a shame.

Teaches once again never get caught up in following a man as it takes the eyes off our first love Jesus. So  yep in a few days it will be back to only trusting in the faith of Jesus alone, not being distracted by the tides of politics, just trusting  in Jesus  regardless of what  befalls me/us all, as Paul is recorded to have done.

Hi At my age it is not worth  developing a hatred.   I  feel pity for a man like him, one whose sole joy is to say "You're fired!"

He may have lost the "popular vote" but that popular vote consisted of those living in large, Democrat controlled cities and States. These places have larger populations than many other States. President won the interior of the Country, which won him the Electoral College. If not for voter irregularities (i.e. cheating) in 2020 he would have won too.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
