Just came out of one of "those church's"...and I tell you it isnt fun at all...to realize all of a sudden that you have been following doctrine that is just plain false....wrong...twisted...etc...  the church that I attended gave to copeland  and the pastor went to Rhema bible college....need I say more?

Praise God he opened my eyes and ears to hear ... I am so grateful and humbled to tears that He lead me to leave that place and never look back.

although I do have friends who are still there...I have tried to talk to them about it...but one just told me if what I had to say was gonna turn her away from the church then she didn't want to hear it....I just hope that I got in enough to her to make her think...I pray Jesus will do the rest.

Shadow...did you have friends who stayed after you and yours were lead out?....some advice would be helpful on how to handle them....from anyone....there is a camp outing this weekend and all of my friends who attend this church still want me and my family to go and stay there with them...I don't know what to do...do I go?...and risk being attacked because of our decsion....ahhhhhh so confused.

ps.  there is a good chance that the pastor of the church will stop in for a visit also...I don't think I am ready to answer any questions from him or his wife.

HOW CAN TWO WALK TOGETHER UNLESS THEY AGREE?????? canNOT----friends that stayed in with the copeless & hagin--roberts[the big O}<< to tell the truth Patsy & I never have had a lot of friends--we know a lot of people, we went to church with at one time or another--we Patsy & I helped to start at least three churches but had to leave for one reason or another..mostly over wrong teachings--or found out the preacher wasNOT there because GOD called him but rather to get church{programs} started so people would come to his church---i.e. a local tv station to present the pastors wife interviewing a church member on how to make dolls--macramay{SP} trinkets----"IF" I was concerned about going on a camp meeting with former brothers/sisters that wouldn't talk to me because I left their church--I WOULDNOT GO----RHEMA BIBLE school?????--- uhhhhh--huhhhh----Patsy & I were going to go to rhema--but couldn't comeUP with the $$$$$$

money-----PRAISE THE LORD-----whewwwwwwwwww--- I can get pretty rude when someone comes to my house & tries to do a religious number on me----we had one preacher[pastor} of a church that i could throw a rock from my house to this church--about half a block away when we lived in town WAaaaaaaaaaaYY on back there in the 70/s--any how this clown came to our house --not too long after we had been saved thru another pastor & we were going to his church---any how this clown came in & after a little while we said we believed in healing, speaking in tongues & everything the BIBLE said--HE called us {DEVIL-WORSHIPPERS}

ain't that quaint?? he left pretty quickly after that----SO "IF" two canNOT agree we canNOT walk together--

"IF" I KNOW their doctrine IS WRONG--WHY would I want to fellowship with them????????? WHY would I want to listen to more lies????????---WeLL you asked--that's my opinion--GOD-BLESS-------{Gary} :upsided:

Thank you Shadow for your answer....and we have decided to not go this weekend.....I feel better equiped to speak to them one at a time....not in a group of 20....

thank you also crusador....you are right you are supposed to love them and all....and I do....but I don't think I would have a chance in a large group of these church goers....I'm pretty sure it would be a mess if I tried to explain my reasons for leaving. I will keep planting the seed on ear at a time and see what happens.

i think people are looking to join a "movement " that has no consequences.today we have such new false dotrines going around that sounds good to those people.the dotrine of no hell seems to be the big new one going around.if you were lost,which sounds good to you?live like you want to and then die?live like you want to and then burn?its hard to win souls when you have to compete with such non-sense.lets get back to the truth which is the word of GOD.

Exactly! There are all these new doctrines, and other new age things, like

positive thinking, Jesus in energy, we are energy as well, Satan is not real,

hell is not real, "do what you think is right", and all those misleading philosophies of the day.

There are a lot of them, and they have deluded many, many people ( I can put

a number on it, but it's probably a gargantuan number).

You have to be really careful nowadays. These people try to force new philosophies and foreign doctrines on us, and when we try to teach them the

truth, or when we want to correct them, they get so defensive, and they will

make claims that we are " devil worshipper." I've been called that a few times.
