I got some light on this verse this morning: "For you are not under law, but under grace."  Romans 6:14

The law just presents a demand on us, that is, something we must do. And we know that our flesh is not able to fulfill the law, no matter how hard it tries.  Being under the law is a insurmountable demand on us, that just shows us how very inadequate we are.

But being under grace means we are receiving His favored supply in Christ!  We don't have to come up with the goods, because it is being graciously supplied to us by His indwelling Spirit!

Here are just a few wonderful verses showing God's provision of His Favored Supply (grace) to us in Christ:

And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good work.  2 Cor 9:8

This will turn out to my salvation through . . . the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.  Phil1:19

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.  1 Cor 15:10

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  Phil 4:19

A meditation on the all sufficiency of God's Grace:

Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead,

cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.

An unlimited supply is available to meet the needs "for every good work".

The Demand of Grace is to be "shed abroad from our hearts".

John 1:16 And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Paul told the Philippians:

7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of my grace.

As the needs of ministry increases, the entire congregation must

"grow in Grace, and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ".

We do so by giving up what we have received!

James 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Think on this, we can't sow seeds of righteousness, we sow the fruit that we bear

into the lives of others. This is how we participate in making "all Grace abound".

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all"

Years ago, I remember someone saying that grace is much more than just the traditional definition of "unmerited favor."  But at first I didn't see that idea so much.  However, in recent years I've come to understand grace more as God's past and ongoing supply to us, and see numerous verses supporting this.  Now I like to think of grace as "favored supply."

I like that; "past and ongoing".

Here is one way that I comprehend that:

Past

1 Corinthians 10:

1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that

all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that

spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Ongoing

John 4:14 But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him

shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him

a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 7:

37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried,

saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believes on me, as the scripture hath said,

out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

The Future and the Remnant:flag_of_truce:

Jeremiah 31:1 “At the same time,” says the Lord,

“I will be the God of all the families of Israel,

and they shall be My people.”

2 Thus says the Lord:

“The people who survived the sword
Found grace in the wilderness—
Israel, when I went to give him rest.”

3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

4 Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt,
O virgin of Israel!
You shall again be adorned with your tambourines,
And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.
5 You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria;
The planters shall plant and eat them as ordinary food.
6 For there shall be a day
When the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim,
‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion,
To the Lord our God.’ ”

7 For thus says the Lord:

“Sing with gladness for Jacob,
And shout among the chief of the nations;
Proclaim, give praise, and say,
‘O Lord, save Your people,

The remnant of Israel!’

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
