Melania Trump and Abortion [No white hats]

I can only suppose that everyone knows that the entire Trump family [just like Vance, Harris, Walz, and more] are pro-choice.

Trump does not believe in late term abortions, but he is pro-choice nonetheless.  He has said so.

Melania came out with her new memoir this past week and she also gave an interview that's been posted about her beliefs and writings.  In both the interview and the book are her pro-choice beliefs.  She is very adamant.

“It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government.   Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.  Restricting a woman’s right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her own body. I have carried this belief with me throughout my entire adult life."

While I like her, this breaks my heart.  I don't post this to bash her.  I post it get try and get people to understand that in American politics, no one wears a white hat. 

My father told me that when he was a boy in the 1930's and 1940's, you could tell the good guys in a movie by the color of their hat.  Good guys = white hats.  Bad guys = black hats.  

For my generation of the 1960's and 1970's it was Mad Magazine and Spy vs. Spy.   White costume and hat vs. black costume and hat.  Only the white spy didn't always win.

Today, and for quite a long span of time, in American politics, there ARE NO white hats.  I just wish everyone could see that.

When I saw this interview with her, I had to ask - WHY the book and interview one month before elections?  Christians won't like it and Progressives will question it.

Some Progressives are saying that she hates her husband and is trying to get him NOT elected.  I don't believe that.  I believe she loves her husband.  He was questioned about her beliefs and said that he told her to write what she wanted to.

Other Progressives are saying that this is a ploy for Trump to earn the votes of the left who are unhappy with Harris.   This is where I lean.

Which ever one is true, can you not see that this is no coincidence?

I find too many Christians label "their" candidate as wearing a white hat.  The great American and spotless hero riding to the rescue - leading the Cavalry.

When one of my Facebook friends found out that Vance's wife is a practicing Hindu she went berserk.  She posted on Facebook that "Vance is not even married to a Christian!!  She doesn't even serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!"  There was nothing I could do to help her.  She thought because he was a marine and a Republican that he wore a white hat.

I've followed Donald Trump since the early 1980's.  He was on talk shows a lot.  I've known about his brother Fred who died an alcoholic.  I've known and followed Trump's three marriages and other relationships.  I've known about how hard Trump's father was on the boys of the family.   I've known just about all there is for the public to know.

I've now learned about Harris and Walz.   And I've had to listen to Vance and HIS mouth about how childless women are miserable and just spread their misery and how no one who is childless should run for office because childless people have no vested interested in this country.

I don't see Trump or Vance or Harris or Walz or any other politician wearing a white hat.  I don't believe in white hats anymore.

I don't know why Melania Trump has come out with this "my body my choice" mantra now.

I just know that there are no white hats.

People are going to have to vote for which candidate they can stomach - even if it's a third choice.  Please don't go into this with your eyes wide SHUT.  

And pray for ALL of these who are pro-choice.  Pray that God will change their hearts.
