Beloved ones, we heard Jesus said:

“And he said, Verily I say unto you, NO PROPHET  is accepted in his own country.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How may we perceive and understand “NO PROPHET”, that Jesus said ?

Let us compare spiritually

This, we heard:

“but he shall say, I am NO PROPHET, I am AN HUSBANDMAN; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.”

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭13‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity on Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said, Verily I say unto you, AN HUSBANDMAN is accepted in his own country.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

For we also heard Jesus said:

“I am the true vine, and my Father is THE HUSBANDMAN.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paraphrasing for clarity on Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said, Verily I say unto you, MY FATHER, AN HUSBANDMAN is accepted in his own country.”

What AN HUSBANDMAN means

γεωργός geōrgós, gheh-ore-gos'; from G1093 and the base of G2041; a land-worker, i.e. farmer:—husbandman.

Outline of Biblical Usage:

a husbandman, tiller of the soil, a vine dresser.

Let us consider again what Jesus said:

“And he said, Verily I say unto you, no prophet  IS ACCEPTED IN HIS OWN COUNTRY.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let us compare spiritually

In regard to “IS ACCEPTED”, these we heard:

“but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, IS ACCEPTED  with him.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭10‬:‭35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For if there be first a willing mind, it IS ACCEPTED according to THAT A MAN HATH, and not according to that he hath not.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In regard to “IN HIS OWN COUNTRY”, these we heard:

“For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet HATH no honour IN HIS OWN COUNTRY.”

‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If NO PROPHET, AN HUSBAND MAN HATH HONOUR.

Paraphrasing for clarity on Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬:

“And he said, Verily I say unto you, My Father, an husbandman, that in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, hath honour.

What HATH HONOUR means?

This, we heard Jesus said:

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

I RECEIVE not HONOUR from men.

But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I AM COME IN MY FATHER’s NAME, and ye RECEIVE ME not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

How can ye BELIEVE, which RECEIVE HONOUR ONE OF ANOTHER, and seek not the HONOUR THAT COMETH FROM GOD ONLY?”

‭‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭39‬-‭44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Beloved ones, HATH HONOUR means RECEIVE HONOUR.

We that HATH HONOUR RECEIVE HONOUR by RECEIVING or BELIEVING JESUS CHRIST THE LORD.

Paraphrasing for clarity on Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬:

“And JESUS said, Verily He says unto us, His Father, an husbandman, that in every nation we that walk uprightly with Him, and worketh righteousness, receive Him, CHRIST THE LORD.

To God the Father be all glory and thanksgiving through Christ.

Amen

Having delved into this passage and broken it I to pieces,  can you now give a clear and simple  explanation or application for those like me who can see no rhyme  or reason in your post.

In context, the passage explains itself, does it not?

Luke 4:18-30

4:18 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Isa. 61:1-3).
4:20 And he closed the Book, and he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the church were fastened on him.
4:21 And he began to say unto them,
This day is this Scripture fulfilled in your ears.
4:22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the Gracious Words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
4:23 And he said unto them,
Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
4:24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No Prophet is accepted in his own country.
4:25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
4:26 But unto none of them was Elijah sent, save unto Zarephath, [a city] of Sidon, unto a woman [that was] a widow.
4:27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
4:28 And all they in the church, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
4:29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
4:30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,

The reason no prophet is accepted in his own country is because those humans closest to the prophet (family, friends, and the community at large) will only see the human standing before them, and NOT the spirit-Being (Soul) inside. That's why the people wondered at the Gracious Words that came from the mouth of Jesus, and instead of seeing the Christ inside of Jesus, they only saw the human relation (is not this Joseph's son?)

John 1:9-11

1:9 [That] was the True Light (Christ - John 14:6), which Lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him (Heb. 1:1-4), and the world (humans) knew him not (could not SEE him inside the body of Jesus).
1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

And it's true. This applied to me.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
