You didn't respond to anything. Instead you quoted from a site already shown to be extremely fallible in its historical accuracy.....

And, once again, you plagarize an article to make it sound like your own words.

God inspired Moses to warn parents of the grave responsibility that they have in what and how they teach their children. Notice His instruction in Deuteronomy 6:1, 6-7, 20-21, 25:

Tell me, which is the sin is greater; celebrating Christmas, or plagarism?

This section on the Christmas tree was taken from Real Truth Magazine, this teaching is on my website (www.ThroneMinistries.net), where I give credit to the this Magazine.

It is also important, however, that you cite your sources here.

ThroneofGrace is here to do nothing but argue and try to condemn people. He is not going to listen and we're wasting our time with him.

I don't agree with anyone's reasoning for supporting the 'tradition' of Christmas. However, I have stated before that I don't condemn anyone (for there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus). For you to say that I'm 'trying to condemn people' is ridiculous.

Just look at everyone's attitude in their responses, all the comments being made and such. Why is everyone attacking me so rudely? Haven't I been polite in stating how I believe?

I am currently working on my own teaching on Christmas (and Easter), and I leave various sources of information since my own personal teaching is not done.

I think being accused of plagiarism is not very Christ-like, since I have gone back and put in where I have gotten the information. I have always stated where I cite my sources, and 2 posts didn't have that information. Had the thought ever occurred that maybe this was just an error on my part, instead of flat out accusing someone of plagiarism?

A page back I saw a user cite a Wikipedia verse, but they never said it was from Wikipedia. I let that go, because God knows and sees all, and I wasn't about to accuse that person of plagiarism, when it could've been just an oversight on their part.

So far I don't agree with anyone here on this subject. So I do think it's a good idea to just let this subject go, we're not getting anywhere. It is not my intention EVER to argue the Word, but only to shed light on different subjects and using the Word to do so.

I agree with the sources I cite in that Christmas is pagan in origin. You don't agree. And that's how we have to leave it, because its obvious neither party is going to change their minds. And there's nothing wrong with that.....it's up to God to reveal truths to people, and whether that's to me or you is up to Him.

It just seems like everyone has such a wrong idea of who I am. Maybe I don't realize how i come across when I'm typing. But I'm not a condemning argumentative type of girl. That would not be Christ-like, and would not be pleasing to the Lord.

So let's just end this subject, and pray for one another, since we all agree that that is right in the Lord's eyes.

Sister In Christ,

Dawn

When someone is willing to agree to disagree, how can I be against that?

I gave reason as to why your sources are bunk. They have no historical accuracy. They cite no historical documentation and take logical leaps to try and prove their point. Why should anyone subject themselves to reading that, much less believing it?

The entire point of a Christmas tree is that the tree is unique to the celebration of Christmas. Calling it a "holidy tree" is absurd...last time I check there is no other holiday around December 25 that utilizes a tree. Unless the plan to light menorah candles on this tree, it's stupid to call it anything other than a Christmas tree.

This is like calling a Chanukah Menorah a "Holiday Menorah".

 True and true!

Question: What day of the week is it?

Monday

You just gave a pagan answer, brother. According to the Jewish tradition it's "the second day." "Monday" originally comes from the Latinized translation of the day of the week that was originally set aside in Sumerian (and Babylonian) culture for the worship of the moon god(ess)!

So....Have you worshipped the moon today?

I would think - hope - not.

However, would it make a difference if today you suddenly decided that you wanted to take communion? How then is that any different than taking communion on the day set aside for the worship of the Sun (Sunday)?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
