This one worldly desire, to have a quiet room and a morsel of bread

Second Kings Four:

10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee,

on the wall; and let us set for him there

a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick:

and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.

I suppose that I am just being fanciful, but in this chamber I see

the Tabernacle of Meeting and the dwelling place of Yeshua.

Exodus Thirty-Three:

11 So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun,

a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

Deuteronomy Thirty-One:14 Then the Lord said to Moses,

“Behold, the days approach when you must die;

call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of meeting,

that I may inaugurate him.”

So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves in the tabernacle of meeting.

15 Now the Lord appeared at the tabernacle in a pillar of cloud,

and the pillar of cloud stood above the door of the tabernacle.

23 Then He inaugurated Joshua the son of Nun, and said,

“Be strong and of good courage; for you shall bring the children

of Israel into the land of which I swore to them, and I will be with you.”

24 So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law

in a book, when they were finished,

25 that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark

of the covenant of the Lord, saying:

26 Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant

of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;

The Book of the Law of Moses, which we call Deuteronomy and Judaism

refers to as The Devarim was not placed inside the Ark, for it was "added

because of transgressions". Only the stone tablets upon which were written

the words heard on Sinai were kept within the Ark. The manna and Aaron's

rod had been long removed, and never entered Solomon's Temple.

First Kings Eight:

6 Then the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place,

into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy Place,

under the wings of the cherubim.

7 For the cherubim spread their two wings over the place of the ark,

and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles.

8 The poles extended so that the ends of the poles could be seen

from the holy place, in front of the inner sanctuary;

but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.

9 Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses

put there at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the

children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

The author of Hebrews did not want to get into this, and it is dubious

to quote the statement found there without understanding.

Hebrews Nine:

1 Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine

service and the earthly sanctuary.

2 For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was

the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary;

3 and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle

which is called the Holiest of All,

4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant

overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot

that had the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;

5 and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat.

Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

So now you have more details...

If you are a preacher, "Elisha's Little Chamber" would definitely preach, and be heard by those who abide, and have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.

All these things were shown to Moses on the Mount of Vision.

Exodus Twenty-Five:

40 And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.

Hebrews Eight:

4 For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law;

5 who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Hebrews Nine:

21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry.

22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another—

We are invited to make the Holiest Place of the Lord our habitation, like Joshua who never left the Tent of Meeting.

Psalm Twenty-Seven:

4 One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.

Psalm Sixty-Five:

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Psalm Eighty-Four:

1 How lovely is Your tabernacle,
O Lord of hosts!
2 My soul longs, yes, even faints
For the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

3 Even the sparrow has found a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself,
Where she may lay her young—
Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts,
My King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your house;
They will still be praising You. Selah

10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.

12 O Lord of hosts,
Blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Be a doormat, and when the Lord comes knocking, you are already at the door to receive Him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
