Philippians Three:

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,

and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:

but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do,

forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Knowing the testimony of Christ on earth is insufficient!

Second Corinthians Five:

14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus:

that if One died for all, then all died;

15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer

for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh.

Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh,

yet now we know Him thus no longer.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;

old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

To know the Son in Unity With the Father, and at His Right Hand

John

Seventeen:

3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God,

and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

4 I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work

which You have given Me to do.

5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself,

with the glory which I had with You before the world.

The Ascension was necessary to give Life

Sixteen:

5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none

of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’

6 But because I have said these things to you,

sorrow has filled your heart.

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage

that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not

come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

Fourteen:

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me,

the works that I do he will do also; and greater works

than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do,

that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Seven:

37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out,

saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, o

ut of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit,

whom those believing in Him would receive;

for the Holy Spirit was not yet given,

because Jesus was not yet glorified.

The Lord's first priority after His Resurrection was to restore the faith of His disciples. They had been scattered after His arrest in Gethsemane. Peter had denied Him*! To make matters worse, when eye witnesses reported seeing the Resurrected Christ, they were in unbelief!

Mark Sixteen:

6-8 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—*and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.” So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

9-11 Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.

12-14 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either. Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen

Before the Comfort comes, there is the rebuke, the chastisement. We know that the Comforter could not be sent to indwell the disciples until after the Ascension. However, with the Lord still with them, He was well able to restore and comfort them simply with a breath.

This in no way was the indwelling that would be necessary to fulfill their ministry. They had to wait until "they were endured with Power from on high". Now the Comforter would remain with them, and they could abide in Him. Not just to receive the comfort and cleansing of the word, but the Power to overcome the World.

To attain the fullness of Joy, and experience the Peace that passes comprehension. This is to enter His rest, and abide together in His Love by our Fellowship.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
