Hi all!

I am new to this particular website! However i would hope that my time here will be useful! After being baptised and spending a lot of time wondering what it was i could do for God, i.e. nothing extreme, but something routine that i could stick and that God would be pleased about, God gave me the answer one night, i was siply praying and each question seemed to answer itself almost instantly - from this i have recently started to create a website to give help to those who havent yet found God and for all of us that have to connect, share views and make a difference with the knowledge that God has given us!

As a Christian i believe each one of us should find a way to serve God, not being a lazy Christian as it were, because thats not going to impress, and without action we can easily forget about the immense God that created us and loves us enough to offer the rewards he has!

So anyway i am continually trying my best on my part to reach people via this method and to get to know others, however the only way it is going to work is first with the help of other christians.

Now i ask each and every one of you out there to visit the website and get involved with this as i REALLY think that God is behind it and will bless us for it, i have nothing to gain from it, there is no money to be gained or rewards to be earned except those from God in heaven!

Remember that the end will come when the Word of God reaches all corners of the earth! Its right in the scriptures. Lets each do our part, i for one cannot wait for Jesus to return, please help!

I have a forum started up, and you can contact me via the site. If you could start your own threads on the forum and contact me with any ideas or suggestions for the site i would appreciate it so much! the site is:

http://www.themeaningoflife.bravehost.com

If you dont like the way it looks at the moment, then please tell me what you think would work better. I look forward to hearing from you all, either here or through the site,

Thanks

Daniel

For what ever reason i see that there is little enthusiasm so far to help me with the net project! ;)

So instead i ask if you would at least share your thoughts with me as to whether you think its a good idea trying to reach out via the internet with so much already out there!

Do you have any pointers that may help in spreading the word to those who are still un-aware or who havnt taken the time to think about it clearly?

Also are there other things you have taken upon yourself to do as a Christian to serve God daily? ;)

My thoughts:

You have not spent any real time at this board. No one knows you, therefore no one is really sure about you. So far, you have used the advice column as an advertisement board for your new ministry. To be honest, this is not the right way to go about things if you're looking for people to trust you. The last time I remember someone doing this, I went to his site and it turned out he was practically raising up this "faith healer" guy as his lord! It's nothing personal, I've just been rather cautious about this kind of thing since then.

Well, you asked (I'm feeling blunt today...preparing to see my dad's family for Christmas Eve dinner, Lord help me).

Seriously, though, spend some more time around here! We don't bite (well, not hard :th_handshake: ). Maybe once everyone gets to know you better you'll get some more hits.

Firstly Iryssa, thank-you for at least expressing your comments. I see you are a Veteran on this site, so you know more about the system here than me. However there are a number of things that a veteran lacks which a newcomer brings. I hope you dont think that because im new, and I am promoting a new way to share faith and spread the word, (which you call 'advertising'), that i shouldn't be approached or involved here!

Im interested, are you a christian? Because to be honest I would have expected more enthusiastic comments, and in regard to my questions, i.e. if you are a christian do you not believe we should be seeking new ways to serve God?

You say you went to someone elses site which was against our saviour, promoting false Gods. But why are you now cautious? The worst thing that could happen by you or anyone visiting my site is for you to not like it, in which case you could close the page. All taking less than a minute! Why not keep an open mind in such important matters?

Anyway my imediate impression is that people/christians here, are set in thier ways and are not so much interested in change! I hope to be proved wrong. As christians we need to implement continual improvement, requiring us to face and overcome challenges as i am doing now, before we can even think about sharing in the rewards God promises.

Regardless of my 'new ministery', I would really like to hear from those who want to grow as christians like myself and take action towards it! I need to learn as much as the next man!

Would be glad to hear from you on the subject Iryssa.

Daniel,

Your website looks good from a surface evaluation, but too many words on the front page to digest. I would also invest in a spellchecker. Make your front page short and to the point with lots of links to pages of interest. Also, I agree that people are not going to go there unless they know you. That is nothing against the people here at Worthy. I think that is just human nature. I heard a saying once: "People won't care how much you know until they know how much you care." Get involved here and build some relationships and then try again. You will gain people's interest when they get to know how you think.

Dear Daniel

I commend you for your enthusiasm for the Lord and ministry. The more you get involved, the faster you will mature as a Christian. A website is a good start, I started one at bravehost as well. I use mine to offer topical Bible studies on different issues, and have found that has definately helped me to grow in my faith. You should try street preaching some time. I know it sounds intimidating, but it really helps you to grow in the faith as well. Just get some good tracts, and share as much as you know. If you don't have all the answers, just be honest with people, and then get into the Word and find the answers so that you can share that truth with the next person who asks. You'll be amazed at how fast you can grow if you get out there and do something for the Lord.

Mr SE

I have a question about street preaching. Where do you find people on streets anymore? They are all in cars and buildings. How do you do street preaching? And, what have you found to be its effectiveness?

I personally subscribe to the idea that the most effective evangelism comes in the form of personal relationships. You have no credibility with non-believers until they see you and understand what makes you tick. It worked for Jesus.

I live in Milwaukee WI, so I generally go downtown to the major shopping areas. I also used to attend a Church that had been given permission to pass out tracts at the major airport here. It can be effective. On any given day I would have several good conversations, and it's always truly rewarding when you find someone who was looking for answers. If nothing else many people will take tracts. It also helps other Christians to be encouraged to share their faith, and there's always good fellowship with meeting new brethren .

Thank you Mr SE, I would be interested to take a look at your topical bible studies, do you use the forum for this?

I have a couple of friends who street preach in the nearby town, I agree that it helps you to grow in faith. I know a time will come when many more people will be doing so as the prophecies are fullfilled, however I do agree that effective evangelism does come from more personal relationships giving people the chance to see you in action as it were, and wanting to change because of it.

I cant help think that street preaching isnt as effective as we would like, as the majority dont listen and those that want to listen dont want to be seen doing so, meaning only a select few are drawn in, most of which are christians already. Its great character building but do you not think there are better ways to spread the word? Any other ideas?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
