R U REDI 2 Give an Account 2 HIM??

I'm starting this thread as a challenge to each of us as professed Children of the Most High GOD.  Think before you post!!  Look at your life and please respond in a non-philosophical manner.  

We all sound good in the right crowd of Christian friends, whether in church, home, work, or on this Board.  But I present YOU a challenge.....if YOU were whisked into eternity right this moment, do you think you would be able to give a good account concerning your christian life (not your pre-christian which was nailed to the cross) to our LORD/SAVIOUR, knowing there's no second chance??

NO NO NO NO NO Not yet......I am always doing something that I have to stop and go now wait a minute is this right...I guess I am getting better because I actually can stop myself from saying or reacting in a bad way....most of the time....notice I did not say always...this is my worst fear Wisdom....That He will come back and I won't be ready....I am learning so much in my new walk with God that I can't imagine going right now....I don't know enough yet....

Trust me Angel H, I truly do understand where you're coming from.

There is never a time when I feel ready, believe it or not.  And I'm not trying to say this in a humble manner.  Often times I question HIM as to why HE called me into the Body of CHRIST, although I'm extremely happy to be a Christian.  HIS light sheds so brightly on my life that on more than one occasion I don't like what I see, and detest many of the things I do/say.

I know I'm going through a process, as all Christians are, and that in order for HIM to use me HE has to break and remold me many times to prepare me to meet HIM face to face.  As much as I want to see HIM I continue to have a gnawing feeling inside for the salvation of those who are doomed to an eternal separation from HIM, without HIM.

At this stage of my life I just don't want to blow opportunities to grow in grace/knowledge and share with others, saved and unsaved alike.  It's very easy to tell everyone how much we love the LORD and how good HE is to us.  It's another thing to have to show the love YOU profess to have.  When I stand before HIM, I want to be in the latter category as I look into HIS eyes.

I must say that this topic is truly thought provoking. Are we ever really going to be prepared to give an account to HIM.  There are so many times in our life where we let ourselves slip back into the world.  We just have to keep plugging along in our Christian walk even tnough we stumble so many times.  Thank you Wisdom for making us step back and reevaluate ourselves.

I do alot of evaluating in my life sometimes and try soooooo hard to hear what He wants me to do my ears start to ring.

But it is a walk that I have enjoyed profusely!  And plan to spend many many more years in.

I have thought of this "accounting" and mentally pictured myself (standing in front of God) pointing to Jesus and claiming His blood as my "accounting".

Excellent post CWJ.   We can never truly be worthy by our own righteusness.  We can only be worthy through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
