Amen, Amen...This kinds follows my post. I pray too that the Lord comes quickly but what of those who don't know him? The field is white with harvest.

Those who wait on a physical god to return obviously have no relatiionship with the spiritual god who is already here.

With the exception of the above post, this has been an extremely encouraging thread!

Tubal Cain, as you are not yet a believer - and I say "yet" with the fervant hope that you will come to know Him soon - you can't understand the error of what you have said. Yes, we have a spiritual relationship with God. He has given us promises to cling to and look forward to. One of those is the physical return of Jesus for us, His bride! The promises of life He's given regarding life as it will be at that time are ones that any sane person would dream of, hope for and look forward to.

Those who seek a physical god to worship are the ones who are unsatisfied with the spiritual god who is already here. The reason being, they are not able to commune with him on a spiritual plane. So they wait, and the only thing they know about god is what others have written in a book. Jesus said that "the kingdom of god is within you". Yet, again you wait on a physical place. And while you wait, the kingdom is passing you by. Meanwhile, you have become very good at making excuses.

While I appreciate where you're coming from, as much as is possible, I can't help but see that you are taking the scriptures you are quoting individually and making a doctrine out of them. You and I haven't had any discussions in the past, so I'm afraid I don't know the direction you're coming from. Mind if I ask a few questions that will help me understand your thoughts better?

Do you believe in God, the Creator of all things? Do you believe that Jesus came to the earth once already to live as a man, dying for our sins, paying the price for them so we wouldn't have to?

You see, since we know Jesus did come from the Father, physically, to the earth already, we also know His promise to come again. This is the promise we look forward to. It in no way shows that we have no spiritual relationship with God currently. I think you're assumption that people who look forward to His coming again as having (or not being satisfied with having) a spiritual relationship with Him is an unfair and unfounded judgement. Do you know any of the people here to be able to say this?

I think Tubal is saying that, even though we are physical beings our true essence is spirit, and because God is spirit we must commune with God on the spiritual plane to avoid the distractions of mind chatter and the negative influences of our ego. I know of no better way to do this than through meditation. Jesus told us how to do this when he instructed us to go to our room and shut the door. Our heavenly Father already knows what we need, and through the peace and quiet of meditation we more than likely will get the answer we seek.

Science tells us that matter is an illusion, yet people look for God in something that is not even real. Science also tells us that time is an illusion, yet people still wait on God to return so they can spend a certain amount of TIME with him. Time only applies to the physical world and these temporary physical bodies.
