I will say this body that replies to these boards will keep you on your toes and if your not careful you will learn something it is interesting of to whom these two may be :wow: God bless

Or maybe they are not something human?

But what puzzles me about this theory are: 1) they will prophecy -- which implies a mouth Rev11:3 2) they will be clothed in the garb of a prophet (sack cloth) -- implies a body vs 3 3) vs 5 indicates they do have a mouth 4) they have the powers of a prophet such as Elijah and Moses (some believe it will be them but I dont) vs 6 5) they will taste death vs 7 6) they do have bodies vs 8-9 7) they have bodies that require buriel vs 9 8) they are called prophets vs 10 9) they have life that God enters into them vs 11 10) they have feet vs 11 11) they assend into heaven like Enoch and Elijah These are just my thoughts that even though they may not be given the title of man. To me it is sure implied that they do. Well, I don't know about the Old and New Testaments thing. But if you read prophecies in the OT, you will notice that a whole nation can be represented as a (one) woman. Descriptions of the woman, what she does, what she wears, etc. all have a relation to what has gone on or is going on or will go on with that nation. So, that can answer the body thing (having a mouth, clothing, having powers, dying, etc.) - if you interpret the witnesses to be something other than two individuals. I believe that Rev 11:3 says this "I will give power unto my two witnesses This sounds like to me that before this, they didnt have these same powers that God will give to them at this time. One thing is for certain and that is they will have great faith and will not be harmed until thier testamony is complete. Either way God will give them supernatural powers and protection. I'll have to admit up until this thread I was for certain they were human but now :c: God bless you brother

These 3 1/2 years would be the first half of the seven year covenant with Israel, correct? They will also be able to do many things: cause famine, death, pestilence, you name it. So there will be more than just the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven last vials (bowls) of God's wrath. The two witnesses will also have this type of power. Who knows what they'll do in their 3 1/2 year tenior. God bless you brother.

I just tend to lean more toward that they are indivduals (and that Sodom and Egypt as symbolic,) but like I said this is something I have believed to be true for years without ever really hearing it could be symbolic. so I will sit back and observe as this plays out further. Thanks for the new insights and thoughts to ponder Dad E and Nebula it definately deserves a look-see in the scriptures. In Jesus

This got way over my head in a hurry! I don't know much about end times.... I just know that we had better be ready when Jesus comes back. In Matthew 25:1-13, Jesus told us that at the time when He comes back, 50% of the Christians will not make it to heaven. It says that their spiritual lamp went to sleep.... So be ready!!!!
