Look, I'll pray for a pedophile and hand him a tract but I wouldn't allow him to hang out with my kids on the playground.

Sometimes we just gotta use some common sense.

I see Muslim immigration as an opportunity to show and tell what a life with Jesus Christ as our Lord and master can be like.

An opportunity to show that He is the right way.

No. Not at the risk of our children's lives. No way. There's better ways to share Christ: satellite broadcast.

And how many TV's do you think are in Afghanistan?

The point I was trying to make is that all this"must come to pass"...

if that is the case we are fighting a losing battle in trying to stop the WHOLE thing.

Let the dead worry about stopping things they cant control,

and let those living in Christ, show His love through preaching His message.

Think about what would happen to you if you where caught preaching the gospel in Iran,or Afghanistan for that matter. It is done, but at great risk.

What we should be doing is trying to help save those that the Lord puts in our lives.

God delivers non believers to us to tell of Him , and because they are like the people of Ninevah we pull a Jonah ? :emot-heartbeat:

We can whine and complain about it all we want, but like it or not, Muslims are in our world and we have got to learn to share Gods love with them, not the hate that Satan has so widespread in the Middle East.

Will westerners hate grow to that of the Middle East? (mike2 says yes)

Think about the apostles and disciples going out to the gentiles, people they abhored(?), with a message they at first thought was only for the Jews

If we as Christians (which is what the west is percieved to be) say we don't want you, why would anyone want to follow a God that teaches His followers that.

Dont get caught ip in this hate thing because of fear and what causes fear

I just saw a Muslim on Fox who said that the war on terror is effective because of Arab television playing on Arab sympathies.

They have MANY televisions now....and they're on constantly in cafes.

How on earth do you think Arabs wage the opinion war? They DO have televisions and computers. They're not mighty in warfare but they're mighty in technologies.

Look, say what you will but UAE has publically stated, according the CNN, that they DO NOT RECOGNIZE Israel as a nation!

are like the people of Ninevah we pull a Jonah ? :emot-heartbeat:

Look, GOD HIMSELF appointed ONE MAN...not a nation, to prophesy to the Ninevites. You know what scripture said.

God did not say, "Hey, bring all the Ninevites and your other enemies who want to destroy you ..... and let them into your homeland to destroy you."

God gives us specific orders and when the Commander in Chief gives an order, you obey it.

God said to go into all the world....and spread the gospel. Since I was a foreign missionary in Muslim Indonesia, I KNOW....I was there. I lived with them. I heard the morning call to prayer at 4:30 am each day... I KNOW what I'm talking about.

Look, I may go to them, health permitting...but I won't bring them here to blow up my children and their children. I will not expose my fellow countrymen to people who want to kill us.

Brother, I would not that you be ignorant.....YOU ....friend, do what I DID. YOU personally, go out into the world to THEIR land and live among them as I did....and share the gospel.

Don't bring them here. Don't expose the weak, the sick, the lost here in this country...the elderly, the young...men, women and children who are about to become victims of Islamic violence.

Aren't you understanding? They want to KILL us...pure and simple. They don't like western society. We are the "great satan"...and they want us dead. They want Israel destroyed.

I guess you didn't get the same understanding from Jonah as I did, and that is understandable as many people get many understandings from the bible, all depending on the situations we may be in in our lives at that time... wonderful thing, the bible.

The way I see it God had asked Jonah to speak for Him and Jonah ran away from the task because he was not only afraid of the people that God wanted him to talk to, but as far as Jonah was concerned, they were evil, sinfull, hopeless people that should suffer and be damned by God.

He didn't want them to change, he wanted them to suffer for the things they had done.

He had an opportunity to open their eyes but was filled with so much fear and hate that he ran away from it.

Unfortunately, in todays world, there is so much hate on both sides now that it will not be resolved by man.

That doesn't mean that you and I cannot make a positive change in an individuals life.

Think about it... Jonah, one person (with Gods backing) spoke up, and a whole nation changed their ways, how much can you or I, with the same backing affect a single life

By the way, How much air time can you get in Iran, for a Christian program, if you had ....say $100,000?, who would let you air it ?, Who could get away with watching it?

Also what makes you think I haven't gone out into the world and lived in THEIR land?

I'm not trying to argue with you, I just think that if we look at the way the world is now and consider that God has always known the hearts of men THEN He knew we would eventually get to where we are now.

We are not going to stop the inevetable.

However, are you going to let that sense of hopelessness and the hate from others spread fear in you and the accompanying hate that goes with that, or are you going to ask the Lord to guide you in a loving manner to show His love and His way.

It is up to us as Christians to love and spread the Gospel

It is not up to us as Christians to "ban" anyone, leave that to the people of this world (and, yes, I think we are going to see a lot of suffering for it).

The world is heading towards Armegedon and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

We can however, do what God calls us to do and that is to love, and to spread His word.

No one can read the bible without knowing that the Lord said we would suffer for His name.

We as Christians ARE going to suffer, rightly or falsely.

I think that includes being cursed at by someone we are trying to preach the Gospel to.

But ......maybe someone might change, someone that God has put in our lives

From the perspective of the rest of the world, it would not be hard to look at the decadance, greed and self absorbtion of western society and see satan in that

We say to this West, ..........when Israel is defeated, its path is defeated, those who call to support it are defeated, and the cowards who hide behind it and support it are defeated. Israel will be defeated, and so will whoever supported or supports it.

the gauntlet has been thrown down.

This will be a judgement of sheep and goats.

I appreciate your perspective Mike, but there is alot here that you are simply missing. There is nothing to assume that what we are talking about is "inevitable." Furthermore, I take issue with you trying to rationalize our position as one of "hate." We are dealing with an enemy that is not merely "persecuting" us. This is an ideology that has as its primary goal, uniting the entire world under Islam. They are using every means available to them including infiltrating our own government and using our political system against us. Standing against this and attempting to thwart is not a product of hate, nor is it contrary with biblical principle.

Many Jews refused to see the threat Hitler posed until it was too late. Over and over they were told what Hitler was about to inflict upon them, and they simply brushed it off. Many Christians are going to do the same, it appears. Hitler made no secret of his plans, and the Arabs have followed suit. They have publicly declared what they intend to do. The West is fat, lazy, deaf and blind.

Unfortunately arabs are falled into this false religion which just makes me mad. This guys claim peace but all they want to do is destroy Israel, the Nation that God loves the most!

I just dunno, I still don't think that End is that near. I think there will be times worst then this ones.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
