Dubai is NOT anti Israel. The will not acknowdedge the government of Israel until Israel acknowledges Palestine's right to exist.

The only reason they, especially Bush, want this sale to go through is so they don't loose their center of operations in the region. It has nothing to do with how much they like or agree with the viewpoints of the UAE. They will kiss butt as long as they must until they no longer need the UAE for anything. Its a very two faced approach and such tactics have not gone unnoticed by the rest of the world. Why do you think we are so disliked? U.S. foreign policy has rubbed many many countries the wrong way. Sadly, its the citizens who ultimately pay the price for the arrogance of their/our governments.

Even though you are victims of the US education system, I am willing to bet you know how to read a map. Look at where Dubai is located. Strategically located between two enemies of America in the GWOT. Now, isn't it better to have them on our side?

I agree there are oversight commities and from what I have seen from some people involved with those commities and reporters looking into say there wasn't a proper vetting of this deal. This is reconfirmed by the deal going back to be looked at in a 45 day process (after the fact now). I also agree that Bush didn't HAVE to know. 2 problems though, something like this should have been brought to his attention and he shouldn't have jumped the gun when he's ADMITTED he wasn't filled in.

Why are YOU a citizen of this country?? You don't seem any happier about things going on in this country than I, you just gripe about different things. Our military IS overwhelmed and the ONLY people who disagree seem to be war hawks like yourself. I think you want people to think you know otherwise, I know otherwise. Not only is my son in Iraq but husband and his father work for the government and not in paper-pushing jobs at the NSA like you claim. BTW just because you work (or used to work) at the NSA doesn't mean you're in the loop on anything.

With this administration there is no difference between business and politics, other than they don't run the government like a business.

The fact is that the middle east is unstable, the fanatical muslims are bent on destroying Israel and western society and will stop at nothing to do us harm. It's a risk we don't need to take.
