I recently accepted a part-time job which I am suppossed to start tomorrow but I am unsure whether to take it because it is a very long drive for not that many hours work and I have also been working from home which has been doing okay. It was a back-up plan to do the other part-time job in case the at home job wasn't that good.

With working from home I don't get to see people and get a bit lonesome that has at least been better than in the past where I have had to work with people I can't stand.

I am not sure if it is wise to put my eggs in 2 baskets or to just focus on one thing. Especially since I hate driving.

Don't expect anyone to have answers, but it is always interesting to get responses.

God Knows that I have serious issues with fear of driving due to an accident and this work from home opportunity may be a miracle to help me recover and earn an income. I wonder if I should stay put or if it is good to have a back-up plan in case the work from home does not work out.

Dear Lasere,

I don't know and couldn't tell you what to do. But, I will pray for your recovery and the fear to leave you and for much healing and for your guidance and fiancial needs and decisions.

I don't know how long it has been for you since your accident. But, when I had a serious accident and injuries many years ago (at work) it took some time for the fear or reinjury(including driving- possibility of reinjury to me also). After about a year I noticed I was not so fearful, the more I healed and also I know the Lord will take fear away because fear is not of HIm either. I do know He will keep you in perfect peace when you are focused on HIm and trusting HIm to help you in all things. The closer we are to JEsus , the better we hear HIs voice and all through each day we are guided in all things with HIS help. HE has protected me in other accidents buy guiding me away from them before they happen-so that I do not have reinjury by any cars and I bless HIm for this , too. One time I was driving up to the stop light and he said stop and I just obeyed(no more questions when God speaks ot me about such things) and I stopped a car length from the crosswalk, then in moments(and totally unseen by me ,as a large truck was blocking the view) a car came speeding around and upthe left turn where I would of been, and it took him all fo the footage to get back to the correct lane and I was FINE, because I had listened to the Lord and had not questioned HIm, as I had done in the past when HE tried to warn me of things. The people in the cars across the street, were with mouth open amazed. But , I knew Jesus did this for me. Praise to God the HOly SPirit for living in us and guiding us through our lives in so many ways. IF you aren't praying before you dirve, I would strongly suggest you do and grow closer in hearing Gods voice so you know HIS guidance in all things, work or whatever.

GOd bless you !

It sounds like both jobs have something to offer. Two jobs might be more helpful than one. BUt, then I don't really know. BUt, maybe you would benifit from tlaking it out with soemone, not only the job decisions, but, the healing process with prayers and talking it out with a caring pastor or intercessor.

May the Lord bless you and bring all healing and peace to you.

IN Christ we are and will ever be,

elkie

Sounds like the new job has benefits that are more important than the paycheck----meeting people and overcoming your fear of driving. It may be just what you need. I'm thinking you agreed to take it, despite the long drive, for some reason.

Maybe give it a try, pray for guidance, and go where God leads you. He'll nudge you in the best direction for you.

Peace,

Fiosh

Did you have a personal relationship with Jesus when th at accident occured? If the answer is "no", God may be testing your faith to see if you will really trust Him. And if the answer is "yes", the same might still be true. Take the job and take Good with you when you get behind the wheel.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
