As I was praying last night, a thought about evolution popped into my head. If those who feel they must deny the existence of God (in order to feel better about the anarchy in their hearts, I think) insist that evolution created life, and humans were formed over billions of years from single celled organisms (I'm sure we have all seen the diagrams...an amoeba becoming a jellyfish, becoming a fish, becoming an amphibian, etc. etc.), then whay are there still amoebas?? Why are there still fish? If every creature is always changing and evolving into a more efficient form, then why aren't there only people on this earth? That certainly makes no sense.

Evolution not only does not make any sense, it is totally unfounded and disproven in science.

Ther are tiny motors that cause the cells to go where they must, they turnn hundreds of times per second and make the cells go to the right places etc, and Darwin was unable to know of these motors because the science of that day could not magnify the cells large enough to see these motors. Darwin said himself if there was evidence produced that disproved his theories or added some proof he was unaware of; he would have to renouce his ideas, and that has been proved.

There is some god info on creation and evolution on the CHristian Cmapus Crusade web page on this and more, too.

You might enjoy seeing the book;(the new) evidence that demands a verdict, by Josh Mc Dowel,or seeing the science dvd about those tiny cell motors. on another thread here at worthy, I listed everything.

The dvd is "Unlocking the Mystery of LIfe,the case for intelligent design fomr Illustra Media at www.illustramedia.com

You can see in this DVD that life arises out of design and no way from undirected chance! Hope you get to see it, it is worth seeing! and sharing!

God bless,

that was Christian Campus Crusade where you can find more info.

(not to mention,if the things Darwin suggested could develop over millions of years, how could that be possible when at NO GIVEN POINT could the sustain lie for a 24 hour period! in their evolving stages! yet then keep going.

Or you look at the whale, his breathing could not go from the mouth THROUGH HIS BRAIN with out killing him to "evolve" to the top of his head! :24:

There are so many flaws it defies belief, but people still believe it because the evolutionists use intellectual sounding expressions and reasoning that no layman would dream of questioning for fear of sounding stupid. They also cover the obvious gaps with a thin veil thats just deep enough for people to accept in their ignorance, for instance alligators and crocs haven't "evolved" at all for millions of years. The official line - they've evolved as far as they can and need to and reached that peak millions of years ago. Well that for a start is nonsense, they still have predators, namely sharks and indeed each other and they still suffer illness, so to say they are fully "evolved" is utter nonsense, but you know, its the only way they can explain their flawed philosophies. Thankfully there are an increasing number of good and faithful servants who have the strength and intelligence to adequately question all the gaps and the flaws.

also, cells that mutate are SICK, not a new type of cell. Healthy cells reproduce the like oever and over. Mutations are found to be sick.

Love your piece , this has been my view aslo.

In regards that man evolved from apes - unbelieveable -.

If man is of the monkey (which I know he is not) then in

all of the years man has been on earth and conscious of

his surroundings has not one monkey been seen to evolved

since as they claim it is the next step in monkeys evolution.

Amazing what they get away with teaching children,we as

christian parents must be vigilant in teaching our children

how to spot the flaws in such teachings and stand up and

voice the truth.

God Bless Ya

NotJohn,

Hi, how are you? It's good you've got questions - that means you're thinking about it. In this case, there's a real simple answer to your question:

then whay are there still amoebas?? Why are there still fish? If every creature is always changing and evolving into a more efficient form, then why aren't there only people on this earth? That certainly makes no sense.

The answer is devastatingly simple - it's because amoebas still do very well for themselves. There's more than one way of making an efficient and effective living on planet earth.

Bacteria still make up about 50% of the biomass of the earth, despite being very simple forms of life - and they're always gonna be pretty common - because they've found a niche that they've become very well adapted to. So long as there are still trees to live in, there'll be Chimps and Caterpillars and Birds to live in them. So long as there are oceans to live in there'll be fish that'll adapt to live in them, and will do very well out of it.

In fact, if it's possible to survive and breed successfully in an environment, that environment will remain inhabited. Evolution doesn't eradicate species just because they're old, or live in an old fashioned way. It eradicates them if they find themselves unable to survive and breed. Amoebas don't find themselves unable to survive and breed - in fact they flourish. So that's the basic answer - if a lifeform still does well for itself, it'll remain.

Newpilgrim,

They also cover the obvious gaps with a thin veil thats just deep enough for people to accept in their ignorance, for instance alligators and crocs haven't "evolved" at all for millions of years. The official line - they've evolved as far as they can and need to and reached that peak millions of years ago.

I think you've taken too simple a version of the "official line". Firstly, it could be that creatures that have reached a period of evolutionary stasis have simply run out of beneficial mutations. In other words, it would be possible to improve upon these creatures, but the mutation has not or cannot for whatever reason occur in order to do this.

Secondly, it may be too expensive to improve. What I mean by that is, evolution is a complex balance. Sure, there's predation and disease which you have to fight - but there's also resources you have to fight with - namely food. In a war it'd be great for every soldier to have a tank, but it could be you only have enough metal and production time to make guns. It may be that in order to improve such creatures would have to expend too much food to build the improving adaptions - the "improvements" are outweighed by the expense, and evolution selects against them.

Thirdly, the only evolution we can see in the fossil record is of the form dealing with physical features - that is, fossils only tell us about the hard parts of a creature. Other parts of the creature may well have been evolving, we wouldn't know.

Forthly, lack of immunity to viruses and bacteria that you mentioned is not proof of anything other than that viruses and bacteria evolve very quickly - quicker than any complex organism can keep up with. A bacteria breeds every 20 minutes - a croc every few years - it's obvious to see who's going to win an arms race in this situation - disease is going to be an everpresent factor no matter how much we evolve, because diseases are always going to be able to adapt quicker than we are.

Fifth, the fact that a creature is predated doesn't mean it isn't maximally evolved, for the moment being. The top of the food chain isn't a "goal" - creatures evolve into a niche - and adapt themselves the best they can to their situation. Caterpillars are predated by birds - they've evolved excellent camouflage and techniques to avoid predation - rather than evolving to take the bird's place at the top of the food chain. They may well have done the best they can in this evolutionary niche, and found an excellent and efficient way of life for themselves, but nevertheless still be predated.

Lastly, I didn't know crocs were predated by sharks?????

Why do people see in color.

Why is there color?

Why did eyeballs supposedly evolve at all?

So you're basically saying we have to eat more to evolve further? - the fat man wins. Cool, I'm lightyears ahead!

4.3 billion years and still counting.....thats a long war to have no conclusion

Rome was sacked in a day...who would have thunk it :noidea:

Lastly, I didn't know crocs were predated by sharks?????

Appen. Vice-versa too.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
