I don't want anyone to feel like they are "bragging" about how good a person they are.

I think that there are many ways to help others with the love of Jesus.

I think it would be inspiring and encouraging to read some of the things that other Christians do.

Like volunteer at a soup kitchen or take the elderly shopping or visit a nursing home etc...

The things that make people say "Hey, now that is what Jesus would do".

Please don't be shy or modest.

This is to help me be inspired.

Maybe I can get an idea for something I can do.

I do some things but I want to hear yours first.

THe way I feel I help others, even if it is just a little bit. I feel I should do more, but here goes...

I Help teach sunday school, and I help with nursery, and I help with children's church.

Finding time to pray for people without them knowing helps me pray for myself. I learn what I want to be like, and what I am blessed that I am not like.

I used to help at the children's school, but I just pray now at home for them. (reason for that)

Talking with people that you normally would not talk to helps too.

I see so many people not talked to because they are overweight, or ugly, or poor and that hurts me to the core of my being. I talk to anyone and to people that are even mean to me. I find that most of the time, there is something on there mind, I can learn from.

NOt much, but just wanted to add.

can't help ya here..for the Now time period anyhow..

I am mostly home bound now and have not been able to help anyone in a very long time...

except my children..

But when I had the opportunity nothing brought more joy to me than sitting with someone who was ill or watching someones children while they tended to things they needed to do and could not take the little tykes with them..

comforting someone who was sad..

Washing someones dishes or doing their laundry when they are ill..

Bringing them dinner when they were ill or stressed by trying situations..

Listening to people and finding out what they like and when you hear it then next chance you get surprise them with it..

I am not talking about a big things..

I am talking about hearing them say they like jelly beans and getting them a bag..or spice tea or little lemon squeezes..or tiger sauce....

not wearing green when we go out with them because they hate green..

We can show love in a million different ways..

they may not think Jesus would do that but they may think "that was love"... ;)

Tah,

You help people by coming to the forum and praying for them,

When I was younger and had a child at home, I was pretty much home bound too.

I decided I could help others by being a blood donor.

Yeah, it's a small thing but my blood added to someone elses donation may save a persons life.

I also am an organ donor on the back of my drivers liscense.

Maybe my organs can help someone after Jesus takes me home.

I had a few tests done and am now a bone marrow donor.

Maybe someone someday will need it to survive.

There are so many things we can do at home.

I adopted a soldier as a pen pal, it's the little things that mean so much.

I do some things but I want to hear yours first.

I just share "life" with everyone I meet every day. At work, at the post office, in the grocery store, on the road in traffic, just literally everywhere. Life is flowing to me and through me to all around me. I believe it's so very important for us all to remember that we all never know when indeed we are sharing Him with Him. Just live in Him. For truly in Him we live and move and have our being. Bless you.

Matthew 25

34: Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37: Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38: When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39: Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40: And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Peace.

My momma isn't in the best of health so she grows her hail long so that she can donate it to "Locks of Love" who make wigs for cancer patients.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
