I understand your position. However the petition recognizes their leader as a legitimate leader of a legitimate church. I really don't. There are lots of religious organizations that reject Jesus and the Bible. Why petition this one?

Why petition this one? Christians (outside apostate churches) need to be awakened to see the subtle work of evil taking over churches. If someone doesn't take a stand, Christian doctrines will be so watered down 50 years from now that we'll hardly be able to find any truth at all in them.

I agree that Schori is not a legitimate leader and that the ECUSA is no longer a legitimate church. I agree that there are lots of religious organizations that reject Jesus and the Bible but not all of them call themselves "Christian." This one does. That's why we should petition this one.

It sounds more like a fund raising opportunity or signing up to be put on a mailing list than serving a legitimate purpose.

The only way anyone will be put on our mailing list is if they choose to become members of our site. I easily could have run the petition directly from our site but I decided not to do that because I didn't want it to be a "membership drive" or a "fundraising drive." It's simply a signature drive.

Shalom, brother.

Yes indeed we see the end result of 50 years of ignoring scripture.

You see this is the end result of ignoring scripture, it is not really only about gays, not about ignoring biblical commands on who is to be ordained, not about fornication, those are just little signs of what is underneath. Once the Spirit leaves, then we see the denial of Christ at its heart is the end goal and result. Satan is very happy to hear these things, denying the divinity of Christ and His Lordship is Satan

not meaning to offend but this is no surprise, I declared in my writings two years ago that they were no longer a Christian church because of thier stance on various issues as to who they allow to be priests and bishops along with the way they treat various individual churches that try to break away from the parent group.

This only supports what most of us in the religious world already knew that Jesus is not thier main Lord and Savior but popularity and political correctness has taken its place.

Even the head of the Anglican Church came close this week to saying that a split is about to occur from those churches that wish to stay with the ECUSA (Episcopal church USA) and the true Anglican faith. ( again a split we have all seen comming over the last several years) I am only sorry that the main Anglican Body has not already moved against ECUSA and allowed those poeple of true faith to have leadership outside of the ECUSA.

Do you think in the midst of this father that God could in the end use it for good? What I mean is that a split may invigorate those of the Anglican tradition who do not follow the heresy in the ECUSA, to not only separate themselves but grow both in numbers and in their faith? Maybe this would force the issue of faith for people in the pews, to really look at the importance of their faith and to act accordingly?

You have to hope so... separating the wheat from the tares, so to speak.

Here's where I think we really are approaching the end. This particular "church" (I believe) "has its roots" in the Anglican church. I believe also (I guess I could be wrong, and somebody please tell me if I am) that they look to the Archbishop of Canterbury as their absolute top leader. Rowan Williams, the Arch. of Cant., is well know for being "sympathetic towards gay clergy" and ordaining at least one (as far as I know) gay man.

Of course, the thing here is that The Anglican church is getting further and further away from the true doctrines of Jesus Christ. My sister used to attend an Anglican church and she moved to another one (I think it might be a church-of-Christ though I'm not sure) when they appointed a lesbian minister. The Anglican church itself is getting more and more steeped in political correctness (they call it "inclusiveness" or "tolerance") and in their rush to "cater for different views" they seem to have totally "lost the plot" and not only don't take scripture literally but have given up all the basics like the "one way to God" doctrine. This is all explained away by calling it "celebrating diversity".

To sort of make a joke of it I like to compare this thinking to the scene from a comedy programme that used to be on a while ago about catholic priests on an island off Ireland (they were depicted as being Catholic, but I thought they might as well have been Anglican). One of the priests was a young fairly inexperienced priest and in one espisode they had him giving a television interview - the interviewer had thought he was the other priest on the island - and he said "of course I don't believe in any of your loaves and fishes stories or any of that rubbish". The idea was to say that he really didn't know anything about being a priest, but it is all too true of some "churches" today.

Could be the start of the "one world religion" or the "new all inclusive religion" or "the false religion" that was prophesied will take over, or try to.

However, if I am "totally barking up the wrong tree" and "out of line" will someone please tell me.

Please pray for my church... but I will remain strong in the faith as this is were God has me now... not all of the episcopal church is like this- in the South (were I am from) we still preach the Bible and the words in the prayer book are read with conviction. My rector is a conservative and an orthodox. It hurts my heart to hear the blasphemy in my denomination- I wish the episcopal church took more of a stand for Jesus and followed Christ as the only way to salvation.

However not all of the diocese are like this- division may come - there are many many more anglicans in Africa than the US and Canada and they may lead the way in this division. I hope that it does not come to this but there seems no other way.....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
