I've seen that the majority of Christians do not believe that it is God's Will for everyone to be healed. Yet these same Christians will take medicine and go to the doctor when they get sick in order to get well. Why are they trying to obtain something that may not be God's Will for them? Why are they fighting God's Will?

Not all disease can be healed...however certain things can. If God wants us to be healed then we shoudl rely on the doctors He has given us in order to be healed. Such as, someone suffering from cancer can rely on the technology available to fight cancer and if they are healed, wonderful. If not, then they simply are not. There is a line from a Brave Saint Saturn song that sums it up:

He fought to stay, but always dreamed he could leave this place

Basically, we want to stay on this earth and will fight to stay (in order to help those who need help), but at the same time, if we don't, then we are healed. Either way, whether we are healed through medicine, no medicine, or death, God's Will has been done.

My mother died of cancer. She was a very strong believer. She went through Chaemo and all the rest of it, she eventually lost her battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord. The Lord didnt kill my mother...Cancer did...!! Why this was allowed to happen in the sight of God I do not know. He hasnt consulted me on this. What he did do for me is place this amazing peace inside of me and give me this uncomprehendable certainty that I have no reason to grieve for I have NOT lost her. I will see her again. Was it Gods will for her to die, I can't say, and from all that I have observed in my life as a believer and follower of Christ I am certain of ONE thing for sure. NOTHING that happens to anyone I love or care for or even to myself will ever alter one single truth of Gods Word. No emotional or physical experience no matter how sad or tragic will ever alter the Word of God.

Luke was a physician. Doctors are gifted with the ability to diagnose and help treat illness. It is not UN Christian to seek the advice of a doctor... It is simply foolishness to have not sought God FIRST. In the bible there are testimonies of men who died simply because they always sought a man and did NOT enquire of the Lord. God is the healer. The doctor may open and perform surgery on a body, but it is God who knits the flesh back together.

Sometimes God intervenes with his divine power and heals without any surgery. Where and when and how these times are determined will always be a mystery to us. I dont know why he heals sometimes divinely and other times not at all. But it doesnt make him any LESS God. Everything he does is always perfectly RIGHT, regardless of anyones opinion. God is not subject to anyones opinion....He has no need that anyone teach him anything, and will always be true and faithful to his Word. After all... He IS his Word.

Regards,

Ben.

God has healed me of many things, including broken bones. Now, much to my chagrin, I am on medication for high blood pressure, and diabetes (the Dr. says I'm diabetic, but I say I'm just naturally sweet). It presents quite a quandry for me, why God has not healed me of these things (yet). I know He is able, and I know it is His will that we 'prosper and be in health even as our soul prospereth....'

I just have to admit, I am not privy to all the councils of God.

I would like to tell you that you are right. The majority of Christians do not believe that God always heals. Where they get this idea i do not know. You see it is not a Scripturally back theory at all.

When Jesus began His ministry at the ripe age of 30, He was Baptise with water by John the Baptist, but was also baptised with the holy spirit. It was from that point on, that Jesus was able to carry out all the miracles that He did. If you read the Gospels, they tell the story of Jesus and what He did and said. If you read thoroughly, you will realise that everyone that Jesus prayed for or spoke words of healing, were healed. Not ONE was left sick.

Just consider the fact that when God created this world back at genesis, everything that God created was Good and God was pleased. God did not create anything bad. When satan was ordained by God to live on this earth as ruler over all the angels (Isaiah), he began to create thoughts in his head that he could be like God and infact be better than God. As a result of this, satan was stripped of his ordaination and was cast into the lowest realm we know as hell. Adam was then ordained as ruler over this earth until Adam and Eve decided to eat the apple and fall to satans deception. This then was Adam handing back authority over this earth to satan. It was from this point on that sickness and disease and death entered the earth.

When Jesus came to earth, he came to show us the way in which God desires us to live and how we are to treat each other. Jesus healed everyone he met, and touched and spoke over. Jesus also told the people of the day that when you saw Him you also saw His father. That mean't that when you saw a compassionate Jesus, He was reflecting the true nature of God.

Before Jesus died on the cross, He was taken to a courtyard where He was wipped repeatedly. The scriptures read that by HIs stripes we are healed. Every single lashing that marked Jesus back represented every single sickness and disease that will ever be known to man. Jesus then took all those stripes with Him to the Cross where He was crucified. Once Jesus had died He actually went to Hell where satan was certain that He had defeated God. However, three days later Jesus arose and defeated satan and everything that satan created. Hence all sickness was taken back and returned to it's creator, satan.

Now it is through Jesus that we have the authority to to be healed fully. Jesus even told us that He came to give us life in all it's fullness. You cannot have a full life if you are subject to any sickness. That would mean that the sickness has control of you. Jesus came to give you back the control of your body and your life. If you choose to follow Jesus you choose life.

I don't know about you But i have asked Jesus into my heart and life. That means that bad things have no authority to be in my body unless i allow them to be there.

Now this may sound harsh but it is truth. God's word supports what i am saying.

Doctors are great cause the majority of people don't really know enough of God's word to actually believe for their healing.

There are also Christian doctors who give people medicine but also encourage people to pray and ask God to heal them.

i am always excited to go to the doctor if i feel sick because the doctor can narrow it down so i know exactly what to pray for.

Let me tell you this, God's will is not always done because we are given the choice to choose a full healthy and prosperous life. If we end up dying of sickness or in poverty, it was never God's will for anyone. If God took away our ability to choose, then we would all be living happy peaceful lives, enjoying everything that God has created. But He decided that we must make that choice, not Him.

Unfortunately, most people go through life without good teaching and so they suffer under lack of knowledge.

God's word is the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall set you FREE.

Take Heed My friend. Your healing is on it's way. The bible says that God is not a man that He should lie. GOd promises that you are healed. therefore you are just waiting to see the end result. That is you being in full health.

Sometimes it looks like things are not happening but remember that the battle is in the mind. You have to renew your mind everyday. It is a good thing to start reading all the scriptures to do with healings in the bible. Read them out loud and instead of asking God for the healing, begin to thank him for the healing. You know calling things that are not as if they are.

Remember that God created the world, and everything in it through spoken word. That is why you need to be careful about what comes out of your mouth. Hold firm on the promises of God.

Just a note: satan comes to kill, steal. and destroy by putting thoughts of doubt and disbelief in your mind.

DONT LISTEN TO LIES AND DECEPTION.

JESUS TOOK HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND DIABETES TO THE CROSS, THEY WERE NAILED TO THAT CROSS AND TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU. IN CHRIST YOU HAVE THE VICTORY.

kEEP TAKING THE MEDICATION UNTIL THE DAY THAT YOU GO TO THE DOCTOR AND HE TELLS YOU THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG AND THAT YOU CAN STOP TAKING THE MEDICATION. THEN MAKE SURE YOU TESTIFY TO HIM/HER AS THEY STAND THERE IN AMAZEMENT.

PRAISE GOD.

After a lot of years of asking God about this I have come to a conclusion for myself...

God does not always heal not because we do not believe enough but because..whatever He decides...

I do not know the reasons God will heal one and not the other and no one else does either.

Personally, I have seen healing when I have prayed and God said He would heal..

Every time He said He would ...He did.... Amazing grace...

When I have not heard or others have not heard He would heal then He did or did not....

It is always His decision...

When Paul prayed about the thorn God told him ...

2Co 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2Co 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

There are going to be times of just accepting that God is working in our infirmities...

Hear from Him on it...

Yes we are healed but the healing that is of the most importance is the healing of the relationship with God...

1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

1Pe 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Rom 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

Rom 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Can God heal every disease?? Absolutely...no doubt whatsoever..

Does He want to ? not by Paul's account of God saying to him that His "grace was sufficient..."

If You or I suffer some kind of ailment and pray and ask God to heal us and He says He will ..

count on it ..it is done...

If on the other hand if I do not get a specific word from Him that I am healed then there is a good reason for that too...

Perhaps He will and perhaps He won't....I just pray and obey ...

He heals me or you or He does not...

about the medicene...we are supposed to take care of this body the best we know how..

it belongs to God...

if medicne help us in that care then we should take it.. :whistling:

The way I feel about it .....My 2

Just because I take a certain drug to keep my blood pressure managable does not mean that I don't believe that God can heal me. That's a big assumption to make, and a big leap to try and argue.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
