How about telling us the spiritual application to the temple dimensions?

What do all of these dimensions mean?

If the Lord was not showing Ezekiel a physical temple, what is with these dimensions?

Why give them at all?

Why is the threshold of a spiritual temple one rod length wide, for instance?

You can begin here with the beginning:

Ezekiel 40

5 Now there was a wall all around the outside of the temple. In the man's hand was a measuring rod six cubits long, each being a cubit and a handbreadth; and he measured the width of the wall structure, one rod; and the height, one rod.

6 Then he went to the gateway which faced east; and he went up its stairs and measured the threshold of the gateway, which was one rod wide, and the other threshold was one rod wide. 7 Each gate chamber was one rod long and one rod wide; between the gate chambers was a space of five cubits; and the threshold of the gateway by the vestibule of the inside gate was one rod.

8 He also measured the vestibule of the inside gate, one rod.

9 Then he measured the vestibule of the gateway, eight cubits; and the gateposts, two cubits. The vestibule of the gate was on the inside.

10 In the eastern gateway were three gate chambers on one side and three on the other; the three were all the same size; also the gateposts were of the same size on this side and that side.

11 He measured the width of the entrance to the gateway, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.

12 There was a space in front of the gate chambers, one cubit on this side and one cubit on that side; the gate chambers were six cubits on this side and six cubits on that side.

13 Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one gate chamber to the roof of the other; the width was twenty-five cubits, as door faces door.

14 He measured the gateposts, sixty cubits high, and the court all around the gateway extended to the gatepost.

15 From the front of the entrance gate to the front of the vestibule of the inner gate was fifty cubits.

I would still like to hear your explanation of Zechariah 12, paritcularly the highlighted portion.

It appears that they come to faith in Yeshua after He saves them in Jerusalem from attack by the surrounding nations, not the other way around.

Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. 4 In that day," says the Lord, "I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.' 6 In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place--Jerusalem. 7 "The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8 In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them.

9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. 11 In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.* 12 And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves

You are once again in error brother. I have never said that any writings of any uninspired man was equal to or greater that Holy Writ.
But that is how you are presenting them. You present them as if they have the last word on the issue. To disagree with them, is to reject the teachings of "Holy Writ" as you are fond of calling it. Funny, how it is OK for YOU to disagree with them when you wish, but I am somehow faulted as "anti-Scholastic" when I disagree with them. Seems you operate from a double-standard.

To hang on to your weak position you reject what the church has taught and believed for the past 20 centuries

I beg to differ - this is your study the burden of proof is on you to present your case - if you have one.

I have presented my case. Unless you can demonstrate that the New Testament, or any other part of the Bible identifies the text of, or at least a portion of the text of Ezekiel 40-48 as purely figurative/metaphorical/mystical, then the default understanding MUST be literal. It is either literal or non literal. I have demonstrated repeatedly that the text is literal. It gives no other alternative understanding. Not even the text of Ezekiel 40-48 claims anywhere to be a mystical representation of the redeemed community.

It breaks down like this:

1. The Bible is inerrant

2. God cannot lie

3. The Temple in Ezekiel 40-48 has never existed up to this point. It will not exist in the New Heavens and the New Earth. Since God cannot lie, this Temple MUST exist at some point between today and the New Heavens and New Earth.

4. There is no evidence from the Bible that links the Temple in Ezekiel to the Church. Only "Solomon's Temple" imagery is used in connection to the Church.

5. There is no evidence from Scripture that the Temple of Ezekiel is a type, shadow, or metaphor

6. If no evidence of a figurative nature can be found in Scripture, if a metaphorical understanding cannot be established by any corroborative passages from the New Testament or any other part of the Bible, then the description must be understood as literal by default.

Do you have scriptural support that any physical temple of any size or shape will ever be rebuilt in Jerusalem or surrounding areas?
If you cannot provide any evidence from the Bible that definitively shows that Ezekiel's Temple is merely figurative and will not exist as a literal structure, then the debate is pretty much over.

If you can't provide the evidence you need from the Bible, then we know it is literal and MUST be built otherwise God is a liar.

Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
