((((((((((eve))))))))))))) you're the bomb!! But you can't see our loving compassionate God as we do cuz you aren't looking at Him as we do. He is a compassionate loving God who disciplines His children just as any parent would do.

Still adore you, girlfrien' :24:

Hey, cj! Nice to hear from you :24:

Well, I know why you're saying what you're saying, but my view remains the same: in order to see God as you do - as loving and compassionate - I would essentially have to put faith, not in something reasonable that my experience or reason might back up, but in the idea that even though God's promises, ideals and history with regard to man seem to be full of contracdictions, flaws and unkindness, the practical effect is really the opposite. Which, as I can't see evidence of that either, makes no sense to me at all.

Good to hear from you too!! :24: Okay, I know you're like a rock and not going to change your mind. But just a few of my thoughts; God has no flaws, is the most reasonable God when it comes to His children, He keeps His promises, His history is backed up in many areas of scripture and there are no contradictions. Everything has a purpose, a plan, there are no accidents or coincidences and what you may think of as His unkindness, I think of as discipline but along with that, the promise of forgiveness through the blood of His Son. I am redeemed and saved from an eternity of torment.

I know you are reading this and respectfully contemplating. And I know that these words have not and will not change your mind. As a child of God, we see Him in one way, as a loving, generous, forgiving and oh so much more of a God, where as you who are non believers, athiests have an entirely different perspective of life. I'm just trying to explain that to have faith, you have to believe in something you cannot see. If you need hard proof, evidence, the real meat of it is deep down inside of you. That's where proof is. Essentially in Faith. :24:

God wanted us to love Him by choice. When there is choice there has to be sin.

And what if someone has faith in something else, CJ? Perhaps they have faith that if they are incredibly good in life, they will become a Buddha? Perhaps they have faith in Krishna. Faith is faith is faith, and does not change the universal truth that is out there. Faith is blind, and cannot be a true mechanism for truth-seekers.

Now, I don't know for sure what that truth is, but all I have seen in my lifetime has led me to believe that there is no reason to believe anything exists more than this earth and universe.

I guess if God wanted me to become a budda He would have led me there just to turn me back around again :emot-hug: I've always been rebellious, stubborn, obstinant and disobedient. I've also had a lot of tragedies in my life but I found the truth in the light of Jesus. I had a truly physical emotional transformation by His Spirit that gives me faith to follow and believe without seeing.

And believe me I have checked out Scientology, Werner Erhardt, anything that would fill the missing link but never felt right about those "groups" When I tried to get out of both, they wouldn't leave me alone. My boyfriend at the time literally came in to a EST meeting and picked me up and carried me out. It took a while to get them out of my life. My truth as is the truth of many believers is the Word of God.

You say you don't know for sure what the truth is, why not give God a chance? And you are still young, you've got a lot more living to do. More to experience and one day, all of this that we have revealed here just might make sense.

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Maybe you just aren't ready but you have eluded to things that tell me you are searching for something even though you may not know it. For me, my life, God was always there to steer me away from the cults and the lifestyle that I was leading that was so destructive because I didn't care what happened to me. Funny thing is, I didn't think I was searching for God until one evening BAM!! The transformation took shape in a divinely Spiritual form, I could not deny it was the truth. But only you can make the choice, only you know what's in your heart besides our Creator. Now, I am not saying I am perfect now, nor that I do not sin because I do and sometimes it is conciously and as a child I will be rebellious at times when worldly emotions seem to overwhelm me. But in my prayers, my meditation, it brings me peace, cleansing, and like the Japanese guy who is sitting 2 feet off the floor until Mr. Clean comes along and distracts him. That's the best analogy I could think of lol, but it brings me closer to Him, to my roots, and to where I am going. So there's my two cents, hope you enjoyed :th_wave:

Grace to you,

There are quite a few failed prophecies including the most important one where Jesus said that some standing here would not taste death before his return.

Are you quite sure that they are indeed dead?

Peace,

Dave

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
