I'm messianic. That goes back to Abraham.

Abraham? I thought Christians were supposed to be following Christ. I don't understand...

Let me take a stab at these questions...

What is your most important business in this life?

----To help other people get saved.

What must you do to save your soul?

----No, salvation is not found by membership in a church. It's in having a relationship with God. Yes, the church is important. But it's the means, not the end.

How many religions did Christ teach?

----One, of course.

What, therefore, is to be thought of the many religions in this country?

----They are misguided.

Is it not very uncharitable to say that all religions are false except one?

----Not any more uncharitable than to corect a man who's driving the wrong the way down the freeway.

But are you not safe in following the religion in which you happen to be born?

----Religion is a choice, not genetic. (Yes, that includes Catholicism!)

What, then, are you to do?

----Follow Christ

But how are you to find out the True Church?

----Study the Bible to find out what the early church was like, and find a church that meets that description.

the church is not an organization. It's not found in a building. There is not "a" denomination who can claim to be the true church. If you want to experience a jewish "church" (like the first century) you can come to mine....

but you have the wrong idea if you think there is a "TRUE" church that someone can go to. We are the true church. Where we go is a cultural preference.

:rofl::rofl:

I agree, yod.

I was responding to a post by angeldei, way back in October. Angeldei was claiming that the institution of the church was the all-important thing. I believe that any church organization is a means to an end, not the end itself.
