quote amor: "Mind you, I suppose they could also remind you that you violated their sovereignty by nicking most of Northern Mexico in the 19th century."

So, based on your argument, then the US should allow the Brits to come here illegally and start trying to outbreed Americans and take over the 13 lost colonies?

There is a thing called a treaty.

Usually one party in a conflict beat the snot out of the other party and forced the beaten party to sign a treaty, lest they get the snot kicked out of them again. The defeated party signs the treaty based on the conditions of the victor. They agree to the terms and go about their business. When we won the war with the Mexicans, they had to sign a treaty with us and give us the territory we demanded. They signed the treaty, just like the brits signed the treaty. It is rightfully ours and no one but the US has a claim to it. The people do not have a choice in the matter.

Your petty liberal mind needs to quit dwelling on the past and accept the current world conditions. Britain got it's rear end kicked from deep within our territory to the outer edges of it. Same goes with Mexico.

To the victor goes the spoils. Whining about alleged American imperialism is useless and very hipocritical, since it was British imperialism that lead to the creation of the US and the current condition of the middle east.

You lennonites need to get on with your lives and give peace a chance.

Peace is a requirement of treaties. Illegally entering a country and trying to outbreed that country's citizens is a subversive aggressive action towards that nation's sovereignty and violates the peace obligations of that treaty.

Muslims are using subversive tactics to take over Europe. Why would they choose France of all countries in Europe? It's because France is in the heart of Europe.

Then we should remind Mexico that it has violated our sovereignty by sending its military across the border to intimidate our border patrol and "steal" back the drugs that were discovered by our BP agents.

Mind you, I suppose they could also remind you that you violated their sovereignty by nicking most of Northern Mexico in the 19th century.

Your from England aren't you............................???? Talk about nicking other countries!

Yes, about time we reclaimed some of our East Coast real Estate.

You are few decades too late for that. As far as being a world power goes, Brittania no longer rules the waves, or much of anything else for that matter.

Not that it's done us as individuals great harm. Anyway, all Empires and "Great powers" sink in the end. The main source of international amusment at the moment , now the USSR has gone bottom up, is watching the USA flounder.

No, my not too serious argument was that given theopportunity posed by the imminent eclipse of the USA as the major world power, we should cooperate with the Mexicans, Canadians, the Russians (who would probably apreciate the return of Alaska) the French (who would certainly do more for New Orleans than the current regime); the native tribes, the oppresed classes within current US society. Together organise a combined uprising/multi-directional invasion and divi-up the dangerous entity. Sice this is an approach championed by many of the US neo-cons in regard to other countries, such an approach would seem to carry an element of poetic justice.

Given your silly obsession with your conspiracy theories - Mexicans taking over the USA, Muslims taking over France etc. I see nothing wrong with proposinga a little conspiracy of my own as outligned above.

Those are not conspiracy theories Amor.

Have you heard of the Mexican gang called SS13? They are using the same argument for the mexican war as you used a few posts ago. They believe the US wrongfully took texas and california from them and they want it back. So does Mexico. Why do you think the Mexican government is not enforcing border control with America?

France is having to deal with the muslim population now. It has grown to a large enough size to cause problems within France. One French officer said, the muslims are having a civil war right now, within France. Muslim cab drivers in the USA are trying to impose shar'ia on American travellers, by refusing to give rides to any person in the posession of alcohol. Don't you see the precedent they are setting? They have infiltrated the public service department in America and are causing civil disorder by delaying travellers. What next? Unlawfully banning alcohol in communities that have a muslim majority? What happens when those communities spread outward?

The US bought Alaska and Louisiana from Russia and France. It was lawfully purchased, your argument is rediculous.

Well its not going to happen, but if id did, much the same as when Christian Americans banned the production and distribution of alcohol. Anyway surely some American communities already legally ban alcohol? It doesn't appeal to me, but I think this is not a specifically Muslim issue.

That's true, Amor. There are some "dry counties" in some states in America. I'm not sure if Christianity was the cause or not, but they're there.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
