An English naturalist named Charles Darwin published a book about evolution. Darwin said that God did not create the living world as we know it and as the Bible says. Darwin believed that all living things developed somehow over vast ages of time. He said that invertebrates like insects and jullyfish slowly turned into invertebrates like fish, lizards, and horses. Now, could someone please explain to me if this is true (which it's not) then why hasn't man developed (evolved) past our sinful nature?

I heard on the radio today that they have found spiders in amber(fossilized tree sap) that are identical to the current species of tarantulas.

300 MILLION years and they have not changed a lick!

Similar findings show that bats and scorpions have not "evolved" either over millions of years.

Because conditions didn't change in a way that necessitated a genetic shift. Horseshoe crabs are basically living fossils - they've been just fine.

Because we don't evolve, and least of all, we do not evolve spiritually. Sin is a hopeless and permanent condition of mankind up until he receives Jesus Christ as Saviour and Healer, who reconciles him to God.

From a Neo-Darwinian view it would be said that sin is a subjective idea and one that is created by humans. In other words, nothing is really "right" or "wrong," these things only come about by society. We should follow societal constructs but ultimately morals cannot be proven by science and therefore do not matter - they are non-existent.

From the Christian view, though certain things do evolve, evolution is merely proof of a sin nature. Notice that natural selection can destroy a species but cannot build up a species (or at least what can be verfiably proven). Evolution is proof that we live in a fallen world and is guided by the sin nature - it cannot overcome what it is guided by.

This is a perfect representation of what a naturalist says when it comes to sin. "Sin is not something physical."

Of course, as Christians, we cannot believe this. Though sin occurs within the minds of men, there is a thing called "natural evil" which is a physical act that occurs within nature. Animals killing animals, for instance, would be considered "natural sin" outside of a human construct, making it physical and intellectual (it can't be "metaphysical" because it doesn't deal with origins and it not outside our realm of reality...).

Dealing with nature and free will is certainly metaphysics.

I'm confused - how would animals killing animals be a "natural sin?" I'm not sure whether I'd agree or disagree, but I'd like to consider it further, so some elaboration would be awesome. Thanks!
