We think something positive. Then, the more we think it, the more we say it. The more we say it, the more we believe it. The more we believe it, the more we become it. The more we become it, the more we accept it. The more we accept it, the more glorious our victory. The more my glorious our victory, the more we believe. The more we believe, the more positive we become. The more positive we become, the more we think it. The more we think it, the more we say it . . . The cycle continues! There is an example I have always liked.. Gen 30:36 And he set a distance of three days' journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob pastured the rest of Laban's flock. Gen 30:37 Then Jacob took fresh sticks of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the sticks. Gen 30:38 He set the sticks that he had peeled in front of the flocks in the troughs, that is, the watering places, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink, Gen 30:39 the flocks bred in front of the sticks and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted. Gen 30:40 And Jacob separated the lambs and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban. He put his own droves apart and did not put them with Laban's flock.

Negative seems to dominate this world, but as a Christian I need to think positive!

They sound and re-echo in our ears And paint pictures within our soul, Creating and nurturing our fears, A barrier to being made whole. But when Jesus takes hold of a word And ministers it deep in our heart, The concepts of years are transformed And old patterns are taken apart. He's the One who makes everything new! His words fill my soul with light They are constant, and powerful and true, A weapon, a sword of great might. And so, in the body of Christ, Let us watch with great care what we say, May we only build up and encourage Put all negative words away. As we meet and commune with each other, May He fill us with words of release, Of compassion and love for each other, Of healing and comfort and peace. "The entrance of your words gives light" Psalm 119:

I don't know if they are exact quotes, word for word... The first one went something like: Make sure the words you speak are always sweet, because you never know when you might have to eat them. The other one - not about words, but rather actions - went: Sew an action and you reap a habit Sew a habit and you reap a character Sew a character and you reap a destiny I like these kinds of things. Lots of wisdom contained therein. Such as this one also, which I have quoted before on these boards: What I saved, I lost; What I spent, I had; What I gave, I have. Guest lovinghim4ever
To always think positive about yourself? How do you deal with sin and other issues of the heart if one is not willing to face some very negative points about oneself? You remember that God loves unconditionally and expects us to do the same. Now, when I say this to people I am usually talking about loving others unconditionally, however God expects us to love ourselves uncondtionally as well. I am reminded a song that goes something like this . . . Open the eyes of my heart Lord, Open the eyes of my heart, I want to see you, I want to see you. If a person is not willing to face the negative points about themselves, we must be patient and . . . Pray! Pray! Pray! Read my signature. Many people don't want to be held accountable for anything; especially if it has to do with matters of their heart.
