  1. teresa my wife and I have gone throught this same type of situation I ask you to remember this one thing. When we stand before our Lord he will not judge you on your sister-in-law's heart butr on yours. So do what is the right thing regardless of how she is or does. Take the conflict out of it. It is not about her or how she is it is about you and how you are. Example is the greatest teacher and chastizer. I>E> Jesus is the great example. God Bless and am Praying here

  3. sometimes the love and faithfulness of a pet that blind trust re-focuses me on where I should be with my Savior, so yes I think God uses animals. God Bless
  4. jackie, I don't remember you doing anything that I personally need to forgive you for but I am blessed by your ability to ask for it. Forgiveness is the key to Christian growth the cornerstone of our faith and answered prayers. My sister I am blessed by your sharing God Bless

  9. I do agree with the Prof on the NIV. But there are some scripturally sound modern versions available.
  10. Ok....what is "both"?? God Bless
  11. When I was going through a horrible time and just couldn't seem to escape things out of the past people used to tell me to let it go. I thought that meant no memories, no feelings, no regrets, etc. What it truly means is just accepting the fact that it is in the past and we can not go back and change it. Also I was so bad about giving things I couldn't handle to God and then taking them back that I actually taped a garbage bag on my closet door handle and when something like this needed gone I would physically mimic stuffing it in the bag and would duct tape it shut. I know it sounds crazy but it finally allowed me to mentally train myself to leaving things in God's hands and not taking them back. Well maybe not perfectly but 100% better than I used to be. I hope this helps God Bless
  12. Am praying for your healing from these fears. Face them confront them they are smaller than you think. God Bless
  13. Are not some if not all of these feasts directly related to understanding Revelations??
  14. When I start to weaken I remember 2 things.....1. When Peter denied Jesus he did it three times. Than Jesus asked Peter "do you love me?" three times. Upon Peters answer Jesus said feed my sheep. He didn't say be perfect and never waver just do your job. 2. There is no such thing as too much knowledge. There is such a thing as not digesting each bit of knowledge completely before we move on. Doing this without absorbing things will cause us to doubt because we are incomplete in our understanding. God Bless
  15. Ok I certainly wasn't smart enough to help but I do thank you all for answering my questions. God Bless
  16. After almost 10 fruitless years of looking for my soul-mate and finally telling God that I gave up trying...2 weeks later I was intorduced to this Lady through mutual friends and wham!!! There was no way she could not be the one! And amazingly enough she felt the same way!! Thank you God. P.S. We have been together now for 12 years. God Bless
  17. I think all of you have excellent thoughts on this. But I must ask when we run into these people that are down are we discovering what they truly need?? Not being cold or callused at all here but we need if possible to discover the root cause of the problem. Unless you are doing one on one work with people this is really hard. However I am also not saying we shouldn't try to help. After all thats what it is all about. God Bless
  18. The only true attribute that one needs to be a teacher...is to be a good learner. If you can learn than you can teach. God Bless
  19. Jesus asked Peter "do you love me?" and Peter said, "yes Lord!" Jesus than said "Feed my Sheep." Do we think that was only for Peter to follow? And What do we feed his sheep?? Why the truth of course...Which is found in the Bible. God Bless
  20. I think this simply means that we are to have Jesus "IN" us not just say he is our Lord but to live him as our Lord. Not talking perfection here but comittment. God Bless
  21. Proverbs teaches moderation in all things so if you can't do any thing in moderation don't do it at all. In thinking about it placing that kind of importance on something as to over do it would be putting other Gods before the only God. Glad my last drink and..er other things was in 1987. God Bless
  22. Yes I have experienced it but God has granted me the ability now to have an attitude of gratitude. Bravo for this post!!! God Bless
  23. I am a native american and while the suffering you are speaking about does exist it is certainly not restricted to native americans. The adversity, hunger emotional pain and drunkedness in my past were not due to the Government but to my own bad decisions. Most of the hardships you describe come not from Government mis-management but from apathy. Apathy from the citizens of our great country, from some Government entities, from social service organizations and from groups of special interest affiliation who don't have these issues on their agendas and last but not least....apathy from the people who are suffering themselves. Those of us who are so concerned with the plight of these people should help rather than condemn Governments or individuals. We must ask ourselves everyday "have I done all that I can?" In the end when we stand before God his focus will be on our contributions not anyone elses. God Bless
  24. Every peice of clothing I own except of course th socks and under thingys are bought by my wife at yard sales, goodwills and other discount or used product places. I have designer stuff including suits most of which had never been worn and I cannot begin to tell you how much money she saves us. You just have to be picky at those places and look hard for the defects. God Bless
  25. As a man, and as man who's momma would smack my face at any sign of disrespect to a women young or adult. Out of all the crazy, ugly things I have done in my life that wasn't one of them. No from a woman to a man has the exact same meaning as from a parent ,another man etc...etc...etc... He is being disrespectful and needs to be told to stop. Another quick note (not in anyones defense) as a man I will say ...men are not good at hints. So if you haven't been direct about" no" than you should be. And if he gets upset it is because he doesn't have enough respect for others. God Bless
