My own personal opinion is that I cannot see how any violence and killing of innocent people let alone children (whatever nationality they may be) can be justified by anyone.

Weather that be by Isralie (sp) or Palestininan (sp) American or Eglish or whoever and whatever ones political/religious or any view is.

We cannot/must not condone participate or support any such violence.

Faith my sister, one must make a moral distinction between terrorism, and defensive countermeasures against terrorism. Both are violent; both result in death; but one is justifiable, the other is not. Israel is operating in a defensive mode. Self defense is justifiable violence. If you were (God forbid) mugged downtown and you attempted to defend yourself against your attacker, would think it fair to be labled as being just as violent as your attacker? Would you think it fair to be charged with crime just because you violently resisted your attacker in order to save your life?

There is a temptation out there to see the Israelis and Palestinians morally equivalent entities, but they are not. It is like comparing the arsonist to the firefighter. The Israeli Jews are literally fighting for survival. There are app. 6 million Jews surrounded by 500 million Muslim Arabs and an additional 450 million non-Arab Muslims world-wide, all of whom are calling for the annihilation of those 6 milllion Jews. The land issues that you see in the news are fake issues. Israel's existance is what is at stake.

One must also make the moral distinction between the deaths of Jewish children and elderly who are intentionally target by Palestinian snipers, and the innocents on the Palestinian side who are accidentally killed when Israel goes after the terrorists. I mean, we make a distinctin between someone who dies in a hospital from the effects of aggressive cancer treatment and someone else who dies because they were intentionally overdosed on a medication by an evil nurse. One is murder, the other is not. So, we are able to make that distinction in other contexts. I am asking others to apply that same distinction within this context as well.

NO military on earth has ever fought a war without civilian casualties. Not even the US military can claim that they have not accidentally killed innocents while fighting terrorism in Afghanistan or Iraq. Maybe if we fought our wars on Mars, we could avoid such unfortuntate casualties.

Hey Sista,

Yodetta doesn't like it when the boys tangle either......

Just for you...

I absolutely deplore and condemn the murder of innocent people whether Palestinian or Israeli or Swahili or Zealanders or whatever.....

The distinction has to be made at "innocent" though. I completely support the execution of anyone who has intentionally targeted children for murder.

This IS love...it prevents more innocent people from being killed on either side.

Imagine that someone robs a bank and the cops catch up with him and there is a shootout. If the cops accidently hit someone who will be charged with that death? The criminal is because it would not have occured without the original crime.

Now let's take a look at who is to blame for the death of innocents on both sides in Israel. These terrorists will send their own teenagers to commit suicide though they wouldn't do it themselves. They will stand behind a large crowd of children and fire at Israeli soldiers HOPING that one of their own children is killed for the bad public relations it will cause Israel. The former Israeli ambassador, Golda Meir, once said, "When the Palestinians love their children more than they hate the jews we will finally have peace". This is a very true statement.

They use ambulances to smuggle bombs....and now even ambulances are being held up at checkpoints because they MUST be searched. People die who need to get to the hospital...but what choice does Israel have? Even the very real hardships of checkpoints are caused by the terrorists. Every single time Israel eases the control the PLO shows its willingness to negotiate in good faith by blowing up a pizza parlor or a dance club full of kids.

All you have to do is look at elementary schools in Israel to see the problem. While little jewish and Israeli arab kids are learning to read & write, the Palestinians are teaching 5 and 6 year olds the important life skill of bombmaking. I am NOT exaggerating! They are being trained to kill jews in FIRST GRADE!

Is Israel responsible for that?

Arabs who live peacefully inside of Israel enjoy the highest standard of living, best education, and best economy from Turkey to India. Race has nothing to do with it on the Israeli side.

Even though Arafat is the inventor of hijacking airplanes and other forms of modern terrorism, Smash sees him as a hero because of his relentless attacks on the jews of Israel. Is this character assassination against Smash? Did I choose sides with Arafat or did he?

Again....all he would have to do is unequivocally condemn Palestinian attacks on Israeli citizens to prove me wrong. If he ever does this I will make a plaque for my wall and quote him from now on.

Ephesians 5:11 Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;

I can identify with the Palestinian cause, which is a just one, without condoning their methods.

Yet, whenever you are called on to condemn those methods, you stop posting for days. I have asked you over and over again to condemn terrorism perpetrated against the Israelis. It has been your silence with regard to those methods, while vehemently condemning even the non-lethal methods Israel employs, that leads us to believe that you have no problem with the terrorism perpetrated against the most vulnerable parts of Israeli society.

While I don't agree with idolsmasher's stance on Israel I don't believe he supports Arab suicide bombers killing Israelis.

all he would have to do is say so and I'd believe him too...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
