Wow! That's a pretty dramatic heads up.

In any case, I believe 9/11 was a judgment but it also provided many people with an opportunity to repent.

And no, America isn't the only country becoming more anti-Christian. The world is slowly becoming more secular and it will also be judged in due time.

Clearly there are two different camps here, everyone is entitiled to there turn, but what makes the difference is those who are being spiritaul as opposed to those who are quoting the bible.

Electric Angel is right on the money again ( go you good thing, I just back you up) God allows disasters like this to awaken a nation that has turned it's back on him. This is Gods love in action, to show us we can not turn our backs on him and do our own thing. as he is a jealous god and will not share his glory with us while we are in our sins. so if we want revival god must judge us according to our sins as a

nation.

I think you're mostly right, but I'd add that tragedies like 9/11 are, in fact, punishments from God. America is a nation that murders thousands of babies every year through abortion and is well on its way to legislating same sex marriage, which God calls abomination. As the Bible says, righteousness exalts a nation, but sin will tear it down.

When God executes the punishment, He refers to in His word, the whole world will know about it. not only America. Don't take any notice of what these wannabe modern prophets have to say,read your bible and hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. America is not the only country that is becoming anti christian. It is not the only country that codones abortion and homosexuality. Have you ever been outside your own country. Do you ever watch or read any newspapers or tele news that isn't from Fox or some other anti christian agenda.

Good point Eric, and right on! Actually, it was just a matter of time before America imulates many other countries through their politically correct but "sinful" ways. Which stands to reason, if you take into consideration the fact that we are a "Melting Pot" of many nations. The theory that "The nut doesn't fall too far from the tree" is probably more accurate than we give it credit for. Problem is "we can't fight city hall with Religion" We will need to find another avenue to accomplish that. But the good think is that "at least we're making the effort!" Everywhere you go , if you read or hear the news, people are not satisfied with the problems that are plaguing us, and its time to get involved in some way! ANY WAY we can, just do something! All of us, before it's too late, have a voice in this great country because it is all of us that helped to create it and we will all have to share the blame if we destroy the goodness God wants us so desperately to have in this vast country.

I was on a large debate forum at one time, and the center of all the topics seemed to evolve around this very subject. It just amazes me that the vast majority of this nation is believed to be "believers" of God and HIS word, and only about 28% or less are all the rest. Yet, the minority seems to be in control of what does and doesn't get accomplished. The non-believers would want us to believe that "we are moving in a positive direction!" Well, POSITIVE for whom? I'm not interested in drowning in the fires of HELL? Assuming there is a hell and I do believe there is! I was listening to James Dobson recently and he note that a poll was taken acroos the globe , from every type of church/religion/non-denom in the world recently and the viewers were asked if they believed in "life after death?" Over 85% of the world's churches said they believe in some type of "life-after" this natural one. So that tells me that just about that many people also have to believe in a "creator" or "being" who is responsible for all those believers of "life after death. There is a "fact" in all this "super-natural" belief if you will, and the fact is, "If God is real and there is a "life after" this one and believers who trusted and followed God's commands are going to Heaven to be with HIM for an eternity, that would have to mean that the "fact" also stands that the non-believers ARE NOT!

The whole time I've been alive, the United States as a whole has been pushing God out of everything. Examples of this are TV, magazines, newspapers, schools, and even the pledge of allegiance. This is all done because it "offends" others.

And another thing I discovered the other day while watching a film on a plane trip is that they now censor God's name! Whenever a character in the film mentioned God for whatever reason (even if it was blasphemy) it was cut out and censored as if it were a swear word!

I really didn't realise it had gone this far!

Censoring any reference to God out of films on planes is not America's fault, I first heard of it happening on an Air NZ flight. I was listening to a talkback show and people were ringing up complaining of it, the only "answer" was "we must have got the wrong copy of the film, one that was intended for Muslim countries". Nobody "ringing in" to the show believed that either.

However, if the opinion of the OP is true, and God is judging America, then why doesn't God judge (say) Sweden even harsher? Sweden is known as an "ultra politically correct country" and some Swedish tourists were telling me (jokingly) that to be a member of the Swedish armed forces it is compulsory to be gay. In fact, a lot of European countries are far more anti-God and "politically correct" than America will ever be.

Also I believe that Canada has passed some amazingly anti-Christian legislation, the "hate crimes" Bill springs to mind. America isn't the only country in the world where abortion occurs and America may be "well on its way to legalising same sex marriage" but a lot of other countries HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT! Why in NZ last week we had publicity about a cabinet minister's "wedding" to his long time gay partner.

UK seems to have totally gone against God and has virtually "declared war on its own people" and NZ has a gay PM and a lot of gay politicians and has passed the most "anti-family" legislation you'd ever see. And now our parliament is having a "select committee" to continue the agenda and agree to get rid of the "parliamentary prayer" because it is "outdated, and NZ is a secular country".

So where's the judgement for these other countries?
