I think the quote was about the admins here, I know that I currently don't do a whole lot for Christianity in terms of making people believe :21:

I would like to think I follow many of the teachings of Jesus concerning other people.

I used to do readings for my church, and was an altar boy, if that helps at all! :emot-handshake:

No worries, Hamburgers, not everyone was meant to be an evangelist or such. I believe some were meant to plant seeds, some to see them grow, some to raise them up...some have a combination of these gifts.

I'm starting to realize that my role is more that of a nurturer than an evangelist. I've never had a gift for going out to the streets and preaching, or things like that...for a long time I tried anyway, and thought that my lack of gifting in that area was my own failiure. I've come to realize, however, that I'm far more gifted in areas like hospitality, and in being a teacher to those younger (spiritually and physically), and in just being supportive (whether by prayer, or in encouraging words, or whathaveyou) of those who are in other areas of ministry. So...in various ways, that's what I do.

Amen!; nice to meet you, yes we are one body with different parts. you know sister, I went into a church one time, and got a hug from one of the members there, and that has influenced me about that church since. I thank God for people like you who are willing to take the time to help others.

I've heard it said; " That almost everyone here on worthy boards is in ministry of some type", I was wondering if those who read this, would post on here what they do for Christ.

Myself, I'm a street evanglist, I go where ever the spirit leads me to witness to others. People on the street, anywhere, anybody. When I'm not doing that, I'm usually studying the scriptures.

:emot-handshake:

I'm a church musician. :21: I play bass. God called me to serve in the music ministry when i was just about 15 years old and even didn't know how to play. Got to learn the drums at first, and then guitar, and here I am, playing bass.. the love of my life.. :21: sort of. hehehehe.

I'm also involved in our youth ministry, of course there I play music as well.

Oh.. and I like to translate articles from English to my language, sending them out everywhere, and you know what, the translated articles have been put even in magazines.. trully a blessing :21:

Hamburgers

Nice to meet you, I hope that you will become more involved in the Church in the future, and allow yourself to be used of God to bring people to Christ, no matter what gift the Holy spirit gives you.

Wow! Yanks; it's amazing when the Lord calls us into a ministry, or gives us a certain gift, how everything just seems to come together. Nice to meet you, by the way, what is your other language? :21:

I love to teach. My goal is to have a teaching ministry of some sort. Actually, that's my calling but as of yet, I have no idea where exactly God is calling me or what His steps for me are. But.....that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :emot-crying:

God's love to you,

Hi 4given1,

Nice to meet you, does the Lord currently have you in a pattern of studying?. He does me, I actually love studying chasing down the questions, and getting the answers. I've been invited back to one of the old churches I used to attend by the pastor to be a assistant sunday school teacher. I'm not sure whether I should because it is a Full Gospel church, and the crowd is a bit older, and I've been told, that they are not comfortable with hermaneutics, and exegesis. I think the Lord might be moving me from Street Evanglist to Sunday School teacher.

Sometimes I wish I could split myself up into 100 different people and place each one of me in an area of the church that's needed. I pray that the Lord will give you wisdom and understanding to help the church, and to help their understanding of the scriptures so that they may rightly interpet the word of God, So that they may give a right answer to everyone that inquires about the hope that is within them.

God Bless you :noidea:

I'm afraid to post all I do because I want praises from God not man.

I prefer the rewards in heaven.

amen and it is only God that we can do what God has called us to do...we can do nothing on our own...

Hey Yanks,

I sent you an email about fonts that I and my wife found, that are music notes, and was wondering if I could send them to you since you play a musical instrument, perhaps you could play it, and maybe record it and send it back to us. The notes correspond with John 3:16-17; and we were wondering what it would sound like. I have about 3 years piano lessons under my belt but, I don't really read music that well.

I would send them through your worthy private message board, but my wife said; " Worthy boards doesn't support the font", so I would have to send them from my Yahoo address to your email address. I wasn't sure whether or not you are set up to recieve this the way I sent it, so I went ahead a posted it here. If your interested in taking a look at it my address is iamaspiritman@yahoo.com

Thanks

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
