What constitutes spiritual warfare?

"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

It was just recently brought to my attention an interesting concept.

Most of the "attacking" and "warfare" done by believers who are rebuking this and binding that is just spiritual nonsense.

I hear what you are saying and as you know the closer you get to God the harder hit you can be by Satan. If you are sitting back and being relaxed in this well then Satan would already have his work done with you. Wouldn't he? It is also called lukewarm. If you are lukewarm you are not much threat to satan and therefore don't understand all of this because he doesn't get up in your face. Why would he? And it is not just a matter of stealing my salvation that satan is after. What is more important to him is to shut me up so I don't go spreading the word all over the place. Here's a for instance that christians just don't look at. The divorce rate amongst christians is the same or higher than that of non-christians. Well it's not God turning husband against wife. And without ever thinking about the demonic attack going on in their lives because they only believe the good parts of the Bible, they get a divorce claiming well God just wants me to be happy. Tell that one to a martyr in the Phillipines. If we blow off the whole concept of demonic attack we are not in tune with scripture. If we are not in tune with scripture we are open to believing anything that runs down the pike, most of which comes from satan because he is the prince of this world. And if we are believing what the world is telling us is right then we have fallen off the narrow road. And if your not on the narrow road then where does the wide one lead. And if we don't believe we are in spiritual warfare we can not fight the good fight. It is so sad to see people who are christians that don't believe everything scripture says. And because of that they will act upon all the crazy notions they get in there head because they never question the source. One time when I was praying in the spirit a voice came out of no where and started swearing at me, now I know for a fact that wasn't my voice, nor was it my thoughts as mine were on Christ. Another frightening thing is people who don't believe this part of scripture will not be armed to tell others and may in fact perpetuate the lie. If you are one of those who are claiming spiritual warfare does not exist go back to scripture and prove it to the rest of us.

Many do not believe healing is for today either. It is heard so many times "if it be God's will" then a person would be healed. It is His will. Just because a person doesn't receive it, doesn't mean it's not His will they be healed.

"These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food. Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. And when you go into a household, greet it. If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! Matthew 10:5-15

"And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease."

Mt 10:1

"And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

Mt 16:19

God's Word constitutes binding and loosing. God's Word constitutes healing, casting out demons and warfare. His Word constitutes salvation, speaking in tongues, gifts of the Spirit, deliverance from the snares of the devil, love, mercy, grace, and more that many doctrines throw out.
