I disagree with a lot of people, but being a christian I pray for them and have compassion on them because I realize they do not know any better.

What kind of Christian witness is it to say that someone should be hung?

Isn't there a law against treason? Isn't that the punishment?

I'm saying she is committing treason and should recieve the penalty for doing so. I'm using the hyperbole of hanging because it is a serious offense she is committing against the American people, not to mention our Israeli allies, the people of Lebanon, and our soldiers dying in Iraq from Syrian intrusion.

She is the one who is actually going to kill people by her idle words...and yes, I'm ticked about it because I have a son and a nephew in the military who are serving the interests of the American people more than she does...and doing so more honorably...

Anybody and I don't care who they are or what they are including "actors" that go to a country to talk to the leaders when our leaders say they shouldn't, should be arrested the minute they touch back onto American soil and tried and convicted for treason, period!

Nothing in your article says that she spoke on behalf of the President or the US government. Saying there is no division with the President over issues of concern is not the equivalent of saying she is speaking on behalf of the President. I also find it humorous that you don't get this upset about the Republicans who have went to Syria in the past few days, including Ohio Republican Dave Hobson, who accompanied Pelosi on the trip.

Oh please, the government you know the elected officials of this United States is the only one who should have "discourse" with leaders of other countries about policies. If President Clinton had the same policy and Republicans went they should be arrested also. I may not agree with lots of the things the President does for either party but they are in place because God allows it, and we are to obey our government (for the Christian view) the others just have egos bigger than Montana and think what they want is more important than anything else.

Pelosi cannot change policy without the President's approval so your fears there are unfounded. There is no context to her statement and by itself it hardly means that she is speaking on behalf of the President or the US government. Pelosi can speak on her own behalf and does not need Bush to approve what she says.

So we see her intent was not to speak on behalf of Bush but to downplay fears she was contradicting Bush.

Not only did she portend to speak on behalf of the American Government. She also spoke on behalf of the Israeli government with no authority to do so whatsoever.

Not only is this Treasonous to her Government and people. It also quite likely could have caused an International incident.

I agree that she ought really be reprimanded by the full House.

I understood what you meant, I was just saying it didn't matter who went against Presidential policy, it was treason, under these circumstances, when dealing with another government. And by her interference in policy she has made things worse. Its being reported every where in the news, foot in mouth disease. She's embarrassed herself and the governments involved.

While Syria is not a declared enemy of the U.S. They are definately working to undermine our efforts in Iraq, which is a declared War. They are definately alligned with Iran in opposition to our War efforts in Iraq. As well as the declared statements and desire of Iran to destroy the West and Israel. Their agents, whom they supply and support, are openly declared enemies of the U.S. and are actively working against the goals of the U.S. in the War on Terror. Also their agents are actively working to destroy our ally Israel, which we are sworn to defend.

It could be argued that she has adhered to the enemy. .
