It's just an added security measure on your normal drivers license.

You need a drivers license to buy a plane ticket, to open a bank account, to cash a check, to get a job.

All these things , you HAVE to have identification for already.

I dont see the big deal here, beside the fact that it was snuck into another bill without being reviewed or voted on.

The states still have to comply individually before it will come into effect.

I seriously doubt that is going to happen.

But even if it does, it hardly means it is the mark of the beast.

I stand to be corrected if I can be proved wrong, but I think you are being tricked into accepting something that is nothing but a "solution looking for a problem" and "stepping out onto the slippery slope". It won't take much soon to convince you that you "need" a driving licence to buy bread at the supermarket, and then "need" a driving licence (or at least the number) to gain access to your pay (i.e. "sell" your labour). So will you say then "I don't see the big deal here, it is just a number, not the MOB, just because I need it to buy or sell......."?

Let's take your points one at a time:

First off: You say "You need a drivers license to buy a plane ticket". Well you sure don't need a driving licence to buy a plane ticket here - I can't be sure about other places. It is clear, a driving licence is for driving - not flying.

Also: "to open a bank account". What is the logic in "needing" a DL for opening a bank account, like I said a DL is for driving, not banking.

"..to cash a check". What is the logic in that? Surely the bank teller has the nous to be able to tell if the cheque is a forgery, or the ability to check that there are "sufficient funds" in your acct if the cheque is yours, or to understand "other" identification if they don't know you.

"...to get a job". Now that one is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Unless you were applying for a job as a driver why would an employer want to see your DL? If I had to show my DL to get a job I would never be employed as I have a "thing" about that, I will only use my DL for showing to a traffic cop and I haven't been asked for it yet. In fact it is still around somewhere (I think - it might even be lost) still glued to the piece of paper it came with.

If you are going to state "terrorism" as your "reason" then it must be said that terrorists have DLs too.

I was not addressing the possible violation of constitutional rights here.

I was addressing the mark of the beast issue.

I think these are 2 seperate issues.

The national ID card is not the MOB because it does not require you to deny Christ.

The national ID IS a problem to me constitutionally, though.

For people who dont drive, they can get just an ID card.

In a truly free society why would anyone need an ID card? Any ID card?

For the few times in your life when ID is required - should be required, not a "created requirement, or demand", what is wrong with the traditional form of ID, i.e. just about anything with your name on it.

Where does it say in scripture that the MOB "requires the bearer to deny Christ"? It does say, however, that (words to the effect of anyway) you will not be able to buy or sell without it.

Book chapter and verse please that says there will be no rapture and that every man woman and child will be tested. As far as the testing, then when will those that have died in the past and up to this, mythical test you speak of be tested.
