AK...

Let go of the hate.

Let go of the pride.

Pray.

Then read what I said, again.

I'll do the same, because as of this point, we keep missing each other's understanding.

Good day.

PS:

The website i always use for pasting scripture is Biblegateway.

It's a good site.

Why should I do any of these if the Scripture has error? I could easily advocate that any scriptures that speak of prayer or speak against pride are simply the author's opinion.

The Bride of Christ is all believers, from every Dispensation; inhabitants of the New Jerusalem, in other words.

John said and describe the New Jerusalem "AS" a bride meaning as the Holy City was coming down from heaven it appeared to him as a bride in all of her beauty coming down the isle to meet her bridegroom at the end as a bride is decked out in all of her beauty and splendor. And this was the way the Holy City appeared in John's mind as he saw it in all of it's beauty as the foundations was sparkling and all as it was descending what a sight it must have been to have seen it and then have to write about it and describe it.

The church inhabits this glorious city of God as the church is the Bride of Christ that will inhabit this city where the streets are pure gold and the lamb is the light. I agree with you.

OC

So then...Jesus will marry a literal city. That cannot be true. The New Jerusalem is the church.

Anyway, I just wanted to get that little bit in. I don't want to detract from the purpose of this thread at all. Let's leave it.

Guys - feminism is irrelevant to this thread. It is a SPLIT OFF of the other thread.

Agreed! Keep it there!

The Word is Truth and God's children know Truth when they hear it no matter where it's coming from or what texts have been around long enough to historically back it up. God's Truth, His Word, can come out of a small child's mouth if God so chose to allow it, He is no respecter of persons(no matter how well studied they think they are).

I want to address this comment, None.

If "the word of truth" comes from God regardless of source, would you agree then that "God's Word" can be found in any text that has every existed, even if those texts are considered holy by other religions. For example, is God's Word found in the Koran or the Baghavad Gita (sic)?

I believe that the scriptures in the 66 books were inspired by the Holy Spirit. I believe many books before and after those 66 books were also inspired...Correct me if I'm wrong, in more than just a one word question.

Then the question naturally arises, who gets to determine what is and what is not Scripture. I could just as well write another book of the Bible myself, couldn't I? Where is the standard and who gets to draw the line?

My whole point here was both were, as you keep saying, God breathed. If this is true, in one verse it stated that God enjoys killing babies and in the other it states He "takes NO pleasure in killing". Both verses states an opinion on how God feels on the act of killing. They both claim to know exactly what God is feeling. I'm more inclined to believe Ezekiel because he specifically spoke for God by saying, "declares the Sovereign LORD" whereas David did not. Keeping in mind that this is the self same David who pretended to be crazy to avoid being killed, now saying, "happy is he who repays you

for what you have done to us- he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks."

The way I see it you cannot pick and chose which Word to live by. Either the Bible is the complete Word of God or it is not. If it is the complete Word of God then you are right to live by it: You receive it as God's Word, you obey it as God's Word, and you live according to it regardless of your own personal opinion as to its content. If it is not the complete Word of God then you are a hypocrite for advocating the need to live according to its precepts. Nobody need obey the words of men, even so-called "wise" men.

Well, it's impossible to claim that the Bible has errors and then in the same breath try to use Scripture to verify your argument.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
