Hey Afal!

I just checked, and this topic has 144 posts. And I'm going to make it 145. Even removing your own posts, that mean their are A LOT of people who care enough about you to attempt and show you that you are a great human being with a purpose on this earth. We love you, and God loves you. That is enough of a reason for you to keep fighting!

I'm going to show you something I got in my email inbox yesterday. I had to do something that I really didn't want to and was worried about how this friend would react. I was caught in the middle of a storm if you will. Here is what just happened to be the worthy boards daily devotional that day. I'll change my name to yours in the devotional.

Afal, why be afraid?

Psalms 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

Richard Wurmbrand, a Romanian Jewish Believer and an amazing man of God, spent 14 years in communist prisons where he was tortured brutally for his faith and then lived to tell about it. In his book, The Oracles of God, he writes about acquiring inner peace and tells the following powerful story.

During a tempest at sea when a ship was being tossed to and fro by the angry waves, the wife of a naval officer asked her husband, "How can you be so calm in such a storm?"

The officer drew his sword, pointed it at his wife's breast, and asked, "Why are you calm and unafraid?" Surprised, she protested, "Why should I be afraid? The sword is in the hand of my husband who loves me too much to harm me."

Her husband smiled and said, "This is the source of my calm, too. The wind and the waves are in the hands of my loving Father. Why should I be afraid?"

Afal, you may be going through a storm right now. But let's remember that we're in the hands of our loving Father. He's right here with us and He's going to get us through. There's so much work to be done!

Your family in the Lord with much agape love,

George, Rivka and Elianna Whitten

Negev Desert, Israel

I hope that will bless you today as much as it blessed me!

Thank you Keilan for the encouragement. I loved the story of the wife and the naval officer. I could really relate to that. I don't think that I have ever read Psalm 107 before so that was good too.

I know that people here do care and I am very grateful for that!

:emot-hug:

PS - Also had a look at your photography in your blog. Great pictures - except for the one of the car. That did nothing for me! :taped:

Loved the nature photographs.

Thank you Patricia for your reply. I think however, you have answered my original question (looking for a reason to stay alive) more than my latest question - How do I get through the next minute of my life? I am not ungrateful for your thoughts, but to me, they just don't seem to answer the HOW? question.

The doctors have come up with two answers for my HOW? question.

1. Phone the Samaritans when things get bad.

2. Take medication that will 'knock you out'.

In the short-term, these are OK as possible coping strategies, but I am talking long term now - like almost 19.5 million minutes!!!

I need to divert attention off of myself. 1) sing a Spiritual song unto the Lord

unless you are in jail 2) take a walk, enjoy Gods' earth ,we are here just for the moment

3) reach out to others

4) read a book on the frienship of god

5) Meditate on whats in heaven, asking God for a peek

6) offer your home to a bible study group or prayer meeting

7) share your faith with a old friend, classmate, the grocery clerk

8) get a hobby... crochet,draw,doodle something

I can give you lots more. You need Gods Grace every minute. Do not stop living!!!! Do not sit down and do nothing. Idle hands is the devils playground. By the way did you get my p.m.? hugs and hugs :emot-hug:

Where ther is love, there is hope...

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Honey, I come here every morning and I always look for your thread! I start off my day with that cyber hug and a prayer for my friend.

I don't know what all you have gone through, but I have been in the desert and its a sad, lonely, awful place to be. I told someone once that I was just the walking dead, because no body had bothered to tell me I was dead so I could lay down. Instead of looking at the minutes as one lump sum, try saying for the next 5 minutes everytime some bad pops into my head, I will pray, or read the Bible, or come here and talk to someone at Worthy.

 I am praying for you little sister!

I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, but in a very sad (for you) sort of way, I take great comfort in knowing that others can relate to the feeling of total hopelessness and despair that I feel so often throughout each day. I can relate to the term walking dead. That is how I feel even when I am doing 'normal' things like going shopping or doing the housework. I feel so detached from life at the moment. It is as if it is going on around me and I am not part of it. I am not living, I am just existing.

Thank you big sister for your hugs and prayers!

 It's 3:11 pm and you're on my heart Afal. In the moments that it takes me to type this in and post it you have taken several breaths, your heart has beaten several times and God is on the throne. I praise God for your precious life. You are more than a conquerer through Christ. I am so encouraged every time I come here and see your posts. With every breath and each beat of your heart you are one step closer to the light at the end of this tunnel.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
