:24: Good morning! :24:

Do you know Brian Doerksen's song based on that Psalm Bib? It is beautiful!

I don't believe I've ever heard that song, Afal. I think I'm going to look it up! Thanks! :24:

It is on his album 'You shine' (from Hosanna! music 2002).

Wayne, from what you wrote, I guess you can understand why I like reading Stormie's books. She is such an encouragement to me that there is hope. :24:

Bib - I know that I am NOT a nobody in God's eyes. It is just that that is how I feel most days at the moment and before you say it - I know that that is a lie!!!!!!! :24:

I love Stormie Omartain as well. I have three of her books, Power Of A Praying Parent, Power Of A Praying Wife, and Power Of A Praying Woman. Truly, if you read and pray the entire book it could take you though a month at least. They sure help me in praying for my husband. And myself as his wife. I've prayed for my children through them. She truly is an amazing woman! I like reading her husband's testimony about her. "Her husband rises up and calls her blessed, her children, also."

I love chocolate as well, what self respecting woman doesn't? :24: Not rice though, but my daughter loves rice. All kinds, white rice, wild rice, oriental rice, chicken rice! Doesn't matter.

Keep seeing yourself through God's eyes! :24:

Hi afal,

I am new here, but I did read from the beginning of your post all the way to the end.

The scripture that popped out to me was this Dan. 10: 12 "Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel:for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to chasten yourself before your GOd your words were heard, and I am come for your words. "

God hears everyone of your prayers, if you have set your heart to understand HIS ways, and will. When you chasten yourself before God, casting all the things that would exalt iteself against the knowledge of him( ie* salvation, hope, peace, joy), then have faith that your prayers were heard. Now the angel in the above scripture goes on to tell Daniel that he came as soon as he was summoned, but he was caught up in the spiritual realm fighting the enemy. You see the enemy is going to fight for you to lose hope, and just "Curse God and die!" But..... Jesus said "knock and keep knocking, and the door will be opened." NOt might be, but WIll be.

Sweet Sister, hold onto the things that are pure in your life, praise Christ for the salvation, andthe redemptive blood of Jesus. Behold old things are passed away..... I am a new creation in Christ. Anything in the past that keeps your spirit vexed, has no Legal right to stay there. In Jesus name, it must be gone!

Love,

Courtney

I too struggled with depression when a point in my life my husband was being abusive. (not punching, but something very private) I had prayed and prayed, but I felt like there was no end. I thought well if I die, then I can be with the Lord, and Iwill not suffer anymore. I was tired ofthe fight. Then the Lord showed me that I was his creation and to endmy life would be just like murdering anyone of his other creations. My lack of faith caused me to want to sin. Then the scripture " Faith without works is dead"came to me, and I realized that I had been praying, andbelieving that God would fix my husband, but I had not sought his counsel on what he would have me to do aboutmy certain situation. It was then that I realized the difference in submission ,and subjection for awife. So i stepped out in faith and put up boundaries that I have felt the Lord give to me pertaning to my situation. Although there was fear that my husband would leave , or scoff at me, he is still here, and has not abused me. He is not saved yet, but he has a tenderness towards me that he never had. I am no longer an object, and I now have self worth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
