The Bride of Christ

Greetings in the name of Christ through the Power of His Spirit to all who truely seek Him:

How long has it been now that you have been hungry to see God's power flow through the believers of this world to really make a difference? Have you become sick of seeing the foundations of Christ's teaching ignored while other doctrines and principals have been adopted to bring more bodies into a service just to fill a pew?

I know that this may come accross as being harsh at first, but I need to get your attention for a moment. God is calling us to a closer walk with Him in a different way than we have seen in the past. That call is found in scritpure that tells us we will be asked to give an account for our beliefs in Christ. We will be asked to begin to stand for the foundations that Christ has already given to us , and we will be asked to return to the first principals of that foundation in Christ , which is to be a family.

Christ didn't ask us all to hold to all of the same beliefs of things concerning worship and personal doctrines, but He asked us to not allow those things, which have nothing to do with our Salvation to be considered secondary to our ability to come together as a family and fellowship one with the other.

One of the first things that He has asked of us is to come back to those foundations that He has already laid down for us. Among those is the ability to live in one accord in Christ as a family in Christ preferring one another over the things of this world. He has asked us to unite in our resources to help all of those who are in the family before we worry about any political role, by sharing our time , talents and , resources to help thos among us in need. Christ has asked us to love one another by lifting one another up and exhorting one another by taking the time to reason together the things of Christ. In short Christ has asked us to stay connected so that we continue to be a power that this world can look to to see what it means to live in Christ, and to live and breath the Plan of Salvation that God has give so freely to us.

We cannot find a doctrine of separation in Christ Jesus for our lives from one another. We cannot find a doctrine that asks us to take charge of our own growth in Christ apart from giving total control to the Power of the Holy Spirit to teach and to sanctify us from this place.

My friend the time is upon us to stand together and to be counted for Christ as a family without trying to start a new denomination or a new series of doctrines to follow. Instead Christ asks us to unite in our hearts, and to stay right where we are now instead of going some where else to find Him; let's allow Him to become a part of where we are.

God has asked me to begin to awaken the Bride of Christ from her slumber throughout this world, and it is a huge task, but one which is no longer impossible with today's tools. We have the resources between us to bring about the rising of those who are truely seeking after God in their heart to unite over the web from all over this world. There is a way that we can become what Christ has asked of us now without having to leave or go to a misson field , but through the love and the connection to each other be able to show this world what it means to be in Christ as a family. I have many things that I am working on at this point, but I need your input and your prayers as we continue to seek God's face in this matter.

I agree Unworthy Servant. We need to wake up! I have been feeling this way now for a while and others that I know from church have felt the same way. Doors have been opened up to me concerning family members and friends so I could tell them about Jesus Christ. We plant ... God waters ... Now "that's" the kind of garden that is exciting to watch grow!

Blessings and love in Christ Jesus for your posts

I am both blessed by your conformation in God's call to us and I am comforted to add you and all who seek the face of Christ to those many responses that I have recieved all over the various sites that I post on concerning these things. So much has changed in the organized church of today from that of the originaally established family that Christ intended.

Perhaps it would be good to begin to point out afew of those differences so that everyone is on the same page when I speak later of the need to awaken the Bride of Christ from among all of the Nations. Even though we agree on this issue we need to understand what those differences are:

We are told by Christ to teach one another with the direct purpose of creating teachers to go out and teach, baptize and teach others in the same way, and yet we have a vast difference in what is going on today. Do we really understand why? God has given me several very good thoughts on this question; like we know God's word by being able to quote scripture in this age , but to what end? There is a vast differnce in book knowledge and in Spiritual Wisdom. let me explain; for many years now we have been struggleing with the ideas of how we might bring more people into the church, and we finally came to the conclusion that we must act just like the rest of the world to do that. Remember we started out as a family and then we fought over the right to be right...or correct. Then we separated ourselves against one another through doctrines that have little or nothing to do with our Salvation, and mostly hold no interest at all to God. Then we began to play the corporate game of bigger is better. We began to compete for bodies to fill pews with, and so produced bigger and better shows so that more people might feel more comfortable in coming to our theator instead of someone elses.

In all of that we lost one of the greatest principals in the concept of family, and that is mentoring in the Spirit. This is not popular today because it actually takes too long to see results. It means that it becomes a one on one many times, and many months in fact sometimes years of comittment in a body of believers to produce the kind of Spiritual fruit that Christ has asked us to produce. It comes from a person or persons in the church comitting themselves to live a Christian life as mentors so that those who are new in Christ can use their life as an example of what it is to live in Christ in all situations. Then those people teach through others observing their lives daily.

It means that they answer querstions that come up and try to give examples of what to do in different situations by allowing themself to be followed around by others as they learn. It menas that the mentor grows right along with the student in Christ because of that comittment and life lived, but it is not instant. It isn't new age, it is family oriented. Today we teach the bible as we teach any other book, by learning scripture and quoting it back to people, and if we were taking a written test it would be great, but we are not, we are experiencing it through practical applications. People do not know how to do that. What would it be like to begin to tap into resources from all over this world bu directing people to become mentors in the Spirit right from where they are now? staying in the same churches where they are, and allowing God to work the ministry while they dedicated themselve to merely being tools used by His power to do so? This is but one of many different things that the Spirit of God has brought to my attention, but I need your input as well. I thank God for you every day.
