Why can't I complain?

Because your words are subtly accusing these people and these ministries of not following th call of God - which is getting to be very annoying.

I happen to know the ministry represented in the OP, and I can testify that such an accusation is a complete lie.

Jesus said that we are called to be His witnesses - so why don't you spend your energies being a witness to the people of Palestine and these other places you mentioned instead of tearing down those who are being a witness to Israel?

Your words and actions are being very anti-Gospel, and frankly - it's getting old.

Be a praiser and not a complainer!

Ever heard of "constructive criticism?" Seems to me there's enough negative criticism to go around. Aren't you just now criticising and judging me? It's just a question that I have like, why so much inordinate affection for this little tiny rebellious country when there is a whole world out ther in need of the gospel? Why not pray for the peace of Iraq? It was just a question! I'd like to hear some answers.

Those verses were written in David's day Yod, when Israel was the chosen.

And they are (not "were") still chosen to be His light to the world (Isaiah 49).

Praise God that they were faithful to bring the gospel to the world! (Romans 11:11)

Hallelujah! (Psalm 150)

We are soooo grateful for the jewish people because they have continued to suffer greatly to get the Word (Romans 3:1) and the Messiah of Israel (Mark 15:32) to us though we were lost in darkness and idolotry. (Ephesians 2)

Now, we are joined (Ephesians 2) to THEIR COVENANTS (Jeremiah 31:31)) through being added to the Israel of God. (Galatians 6:16)

The New Covenant, as you know, has changed that. Neither Jew nor Greek....

We have been added to their family by adoption through faith in their Father Abraham.

Yes, you are an adopted brother to the jews. Doesn't that make you happy?

Now....time and again....I've asked you politely to show the verses where you come up with this whacky stuff yet you have never done it. Do you ever read the Bible to let it discern the thoughts and intents of your heart?

Or do you only look for verses you can twist to fit your personal agenda?

Why are you so envious of the jews?

Sin is crouching at the door!

Puhleeze!! There are hundreds of thousands of Missionaries througout the world. Very few if any ever present the gospel to the Jews. Do not pretend that no one is out there preaching in China, Japan, South America, Nigeria, Ruanda, Uganda, Morrocco, and other places.

We are emphasizing what has been almost ignored for centuries. More missionaries are sent to any one country than are sent to Israel. It is a mission field that is almost untouched.

It is precisely because they are rebellious that they need the gospel. You, however, would prefer to see Israel ignored in preference to someone else.

I did answer that.

PSALM 122 IS THE ANSWER!!!!

Idol this thread is about praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

If you don't want to join in that prayer then just go away. We don't need demonic distractions.

While you are on vacation from harrassing us, you might want to read a good book...like maybe the Bible?

Start at Psalm 122 just for kicks...

And they are (not "were") still chosen to be His light to the world (Isaiah 49).

It's funny that Christ said that the Christians are the light of the world and the salt of the earth.

Praise God that they were faithful to bring the gospel to the world! (Romans 11:11)

Man, talk about a stretch and twisting. You need to distinguish here and point out that those Jews of the early church were Christians and as such had dropped out of Israeli mainstream society. They were not Jews in the traditional sense because they worshipped Christ. They were of the true kingdom, spiritual Israel. The rest of the majority of Jews did not at all preach the gospel.

Now, we are joined (Ephesians 2) to THEIR COVENANTS (Jeremiah 31:31)) through being added to the Israel of God. (Galatians 6:16)

I don't think so. The first covenant of the law is void through Christ. The only covenant that matters is the covenant in His blood and yes, Jew and gentile who enter into this covenant are one and equal.

Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Hebrews 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Hebrews 10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

Hebrews 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

We have been added to their family by adoption through faith in their Father Abraham.

No, we have been added to the Family of God of all those who are in Christ.

Romans 9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

Romans 9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

Yes, you are an adopted brother to the jews. Doesn't that make you happy?

Whoever is in Christ is adopted by God, Jew and gentile, and yes, this does make me happy!

Now....time and again....I've asked you politely to show the verses where you come up with this whacky stuff yet you have never done it.

Seems to me they have your worship, not mine!

It's funny that Christ said that the Christians are the light of the world and the salt of the earth.

first of all there were only jews there when He said that.....and none of them were christians. That term wasn't invented for at least another 30 years.

You need to distinguish here and point out that those Jews of the early church were Christians and as such had dropped out of Israeli mainstream society. They were not Jews in the traditional sense because they worshipped Christ.

More innuendo and speculation....no scripture to back it up yet?

How about this from Acts 15:5 Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up

Here is the report of jews in Jerusalem given to Paul

Acts 21

19 After he had greeted them, he began to relate one by one the things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

20 And when they heard it they began glorifying God; and they said to him, "You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Law;

Or how about this jew in Damascus?

Acts 22

12 "A certain Ananias, a man who was devout by the standard of the Law, and well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there,

13 came to me, and standing near said to me, 'Brother Saul, receive your sight!' And at that very time I looked up at him

Romans 3

1 Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?

2 Great in every respect. First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

3 What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?

You are a product of jewish evangelism. They gave their very lives to bring the good news of their Messiah to the gentiles.

It seems like you would be grateful and return the favor instead of complaining when the topic gets brought up.

I don't think so. The first covenant of the law is void through Christ

Finally you quoted scripture to support your opinion. Thank you very much! Hebrews 10 is a good one. Yes, we have all entered into the New Covenant by faith in the shed blood of Yeshua...but lets look at this verse in that same chapter;

Hebrews 10

16

"(32) THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM

AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD:

I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART,

AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,"

He then says,

17

"(33) AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS

I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."

Who is "them" in this passage? Paul is quoting Jeremiah 31:33 which actually says this;

Jeremiah 31:33 "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time," declares the LORD .

"I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God,

and they will be my people

We have been joined to "THEM" as Paul puts it. God knows the end from the beginning and therefore this covenant is an eternal one because He knows their ultimate state.

This is quite a different concept than the idea that we have replaced them. It is just misguided to think that way.

It is interesting how you quoted a sentence in Romans 9 out of context for what Paul is teaching in chapters 9 through 11.

I'll sum it up for you

Romans 10

1Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.

14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"[7]

Romans 11

1I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew

11Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!

13I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I make much of my ministry 14in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." 20Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

22Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off

28As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you.

Why don't you let the Bible say what it says and adjust your theology to it?

I don't have much time for a reply right now.

But let me ask you -

Why not pray for the peace of Jerusalem?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
