Does anyone know if people chose to abstain from the "blessing"? After all, you have the freedom to not listen to a pagan text, right?

I am very tired of people bashing and condemning America. Don't we get enough of that from the rest of the world? Come on, it is about the inalienable rights of all americans. it's my understanding from corinthians that we could make all kinds of laws or outlaw all kinds of things but if we have not love so what!

it is also my understanding that as americans in general, we love !! aren't we still the most charitable nation? the usa today reported that we gave almost 300 billion dollars last year Also:

http://www.usatoday.com/ Gaudiani said Americans give twice as much as the next most charitable country, according to a November 2006 comparison done by the Charities Aid Foundation. In philanthropic giving as a percentage of gross domestic product, the U.S. ranked first at 1.7%. No. 2 Britain gave 0.73%, while France, with a 0.14% rate, trailed such countries as South Africa, Singapore, Turkey and Germany.

I am certainly not out to offend any American sensitivities here...

But what makes anyone think that America is a Christian nation?

In my opinion, America is no more a 'Christian' nation than is England, or Israel, or any other nation on earth.

Christians (true Christians) make up a very small minority of the population of any country. :whistling:

It is all very well and good to say that the founding fathers of America were Christians, with high ideals.....or that the British judicial system is based on the ten commandments.....

But this is not borne out in everyday life in any of our cultures or nations.

The vast majority of people in all our societies are anti-God and anti-Christian.

The nations won't be 'Christian' until Christ returns. :24:

From whom did we put in writing we get our inalienable rights?

Let's see....it certainly doesn't say from "the all exclusive christian bible-god."

Well Sherlock...Which God were the Founding Fathers referring to? :)

Never said America didn't have good people ...doing good things... But America put it in writing that she would honor the od that truly blessed this nation...and I know how very blessed America was... and for a little time more ...will continue to be blessed...but on a rapidly sliding-scale.... then total destruction...you may not like it that I am telling the truth...but the day is coming when all we Americans are going to have... is what we have stored up... then America will feel pain as she has never as ...and that will happen whether you think it will or not...God is not mocked... :)

One can choose to walk away from a blessing... sure...but God's gifts are given without repentance ... that is exactly what America has done :)

As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Musselmen; and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

You fail to see that along with the LORD blessing the formation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights... satan has his hand in the mix too... you are right... but have you ever heard of anything being done on earth where satan did put his corrupt hands into the making thereof? :emot-highfive:

Was the Treaty of Tripoli ever signed??? Isn't that the bill that was written and is still floating around after all these years but was never signed or voted into part of the US laws????

Never said America was a "Christian Nation"...what I said was the "Founding Fathers" did something never before done in the history of mankind... a newly forming country...put in writing acknowledging The Creator ... and founded their rights on an inalienability given to them by Him and based their laws on His Word...the 10 commandments...well most of the 10... those actions and more established the "Blessing of America" ... then ...even after all she had done to disgraces herself with wars and 400 years of slavery...The True and Living God ...blessed American ...openly and for all to see ... to show her how very much He loved her...and was still willing to forgive her her sins He sent the "Latter Rain" of His Holy Spirit...for 3-1/2 years...on America in 1906 on Azuza Street, SanFran... That was a mighty blessing in spite of all her sins... and was that enough for her to straiten up a fly right... Noooo....now look...America so despised God...she made that same SanFran the nations "capitol" of homosexuality... showing nothing but contempt for God at every turn... she got rid of slavery...but replaced it with institutionalized slavery... She took prayer out of the classroom and replaced it with Heather Has Two Mommies... and Daddy's Has A Roommate... and today to preach condemnation of homosexuality is a hate crime... and you can be arrested and face charges... and that's is just for starters...and you wonder WHY America will be judged? Get Real!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
