Either with your spouse or another partner! I can honestly tell you that down here in Cajunland, it would be something very hard to discontinue. I personally, don't see anything wrong with my wife and I going out or while at a wedding and "shaking" a let or two! But then again, we can really entertain the crowd....lol....Guess it runs in the genes! lol....What can I say? And honestly folks, there were years when I was studying and learning about God and HIS word that I didn't even care if I or we didn't dance.....I never really thought about it for years.....but now! Look out Fred A. Your thoughts? Cajunboy

Look out Fred A. Your thoughts? Cajunboy It depends on the type of dancing... David danced before the LORD in his undergarments... 2 Samuel 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. 2 Samuel 6:15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. 2 Samuel 6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. 2 Samuel 6:17 And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. 2 Samuel 6:18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts. 2 Samuel 6:19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house. 2 Samuel 6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! 2 Samuel 6:21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD. 2 Samuel 6:22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honor. 2 Samuel 6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death. So, let's dance unto the LORD

I thought it was ridiculous at the time, but years later I understand where they were coming from. Too many people don't dance, they perform acts on each other and call it dancing, and that is what they were preventing at first and then trying to regulate. I personally LOVE to dance!! wooooooohooooooooooooo It just needs to be done appropriately and with modesty, if you will...

I see no problem with a fox trot, waltz, two-step, or whathaveyou though...tango I would only do with my husband (if only he knew how )...but yeah. Guest Biblicist
Truth be told, I love ballroom dancing. It's so graceful and romantic, the way the man leads and "shows off" the lady. Of course, it would help if I were a lady. . . Yeah, I like dancing. Shhhh, don't tell my husband, he's not much into dancing.

Every year at our cancer patient retreat, we have a dance with a band and all. Even on chemo, I could dance with the best of them. I especially love 50's and 60's rock and roll and I love the dances of that time as well. Especially the twist. And, I dance around the house to music all the time. The kids and I dance as well.
