Psalm 115:8 -- "They who make idols are like them; so are all who trust in and lean on them."

If our Knowledge about God is not charged with the life and power of God, mere knowledge becomes an idol in our minds. It is easy for us to have ideas and images of God that are untrue, which the HOLY SPIRIT would remove if we would let Him.

The power of Christ's life is filtered and proportionally diminished by the number of these wrong images existing within us.

Matthew 24:4 -- Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you (deceiving you and leading you into error).

Saints,

This topic is 2 years old and the OP did not revive it to get an answer to their original question. I'll leave it open, but if the OP is no longer asking the question it might no make much sense to answe something that has remained dormant for 2 years.

Psalm 100:4 - "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thainkful to Him, and bless His name."

Praise and thanksgiving, communing with God in the Holy Spirit, starts with being Holy Spirit sensitive and understanding the reality of having our spirit connected into the anointing of His Presence.

It is true that the anointing is for others, but it is also true that the anointing is for us to know Him and His truth.

1 John 1:20 - "But you have an anointing from the Holy one, and you know all things."

Ezekiel 37:2,3 - And He set me in the middle of a valley ; it was full of bones....He asked me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?'

The Holy Spirit resurrection power that is released through faith enables us to speak to and encourage ourselves in the Lord. We are to bring forth new hope and speak life to those that are dead and despairing. As our ears are tuned to hear the Lord's voice His words will create the hunger and desire to disciple others into a higher spiritual life in Chirst.

The Source of eternal life will connect us to others that will empower us to become all we are destined to be.

Ezekiel 37:10 - "So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet -- a vast army."

2 Corinthians 5:17 - If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

When we were born again we received the very Spirit of God, and through His Spirit we were birthed into another realm; the Kingdom of Heaven. Through the vehicle of the Holy spirit we are united to the actual person of Jesus Christ who is seated at the throne of God. Our heart is attached to the power of God. We are never alone. Christ is always with us. What we were as a person prior to salvation, we will never be again!

Matthew 5:20 - For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Christs virtue and power came from the Holy Spirit, not a religious spirit. For it was the fruit of the Holy Spirit that the Father crowned with power - love healed broken bodies - peace drove out tormenting spirits - joy released captives from sin.

Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

1 John 2:17,18 - The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come.

Religion idolizes concepts and avoids personal experience. It is the antichrist spirit that has given rise to religious spirits. Being led by the Holy Spirit is an ongoing God encounter.

A religious spirit is a demonic presence that works to get us to substitute being led by our intellect instead of the Spirit of God.

Galatians 5:25 - If the Spirit is the source of our life, let the Spirit also direct our course.

John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

John 10:4 - The gate keeper admits him, and the sheep hear his voice; he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. When he as brought them all out, he goes ahead and the sheep follow, because they know his voice.

Jesus did not say, "My sheep will know my book." It is His voice that we are to know.

Why the distinction? Because anyone can know the Bible as a book -- the devil himself knows and quotes the scriptures. But only those whose lives are dependent on the person of the Holy Spirit will consistently recognize His voice.

Observation

I must diligently study the scriptures, remembering that it is in knowing Him that the greatest truths of scripture will be understood.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

To Ponder

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Or Two To Consider

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
