1) It keeps you interested in a fight that isnt there.

2) He uses the word "attack'.

3) and 4) You believe some people wake up and say to themselves, "I want to be Gay".

5) Irrelivant to the article..

Obviously, you are not a prophet. Would you harm children if they made fun of your bald head? 2 Kings 2:24

I am going to look like I am a decade older than I am when I turn thirty.

1) Do you deny that atheists like Hitchens have any conflict with religious folk? If you do, then I can find quotes from them that might help align your opinion on that one.

2) Anyone who uses the word 'attacks' distorts the truth? Even in newspaper articles and all across the web, atheists are cited as 'attacking' religion.

3) I know kids who do just that, only their excuse is 'I am experimenting with my sexuallity'.

4)He wasn't talking solely about the article, that I am aware of.

You also abused that verse, by using it out of its context, because they were actually mocking the prophet's abillity to ascend to heaven. It has been questioned before, but I am fairly certain that the kids deserved what they recieved. That really doesn't have anything to do with one harming one's own children, anyway.

First of all, I would like to ask grungekid a question: the lines of seeming quotation that you have at the bottom of each quote, are they from the Tool song Eulogy? It is a marvelous song, me being a big fan of Tool, yet I don't see the connection to Karl Marx. I was under the impression that Maynard was talking about Jesus? Seems more likely considering the context of the song. Anyway, that was just a random question. But seriously, Tool is a great band.

On to the passage in 2 Kings referring to the children. Many biblical scholars (now the majority of them) believe that this translation given by the KJV is actually a bit misguiding. The "kids" talked about weren't really kids at all. They were actually "youths" or "lads". Most scholars agree that the children of this story could have been anywhere from newborn babies to adults. The Hebrew word rendered

I like Tool, and I am well aware of their message, however, I fixed it for them. Really, it does fit quite well, seeing as how they inspired so much more killing and homogeneity throughout mankind than Jesus did.

1)Everybody will always have conflicts with everybody.

2)media uses key words to inflame an imagination. It works. That is why the Author uses it. It works for you becuase you want to believe it.

3) Is that what they say now before they discover they are gay?

4)Besides my spelling, speculateing is boring. We'll let him defend himself.

I abused that verse? Deal! That is your opinion of how you defend your god. Just dont bother telling me your god loves little children.

#1 affirms that #2 is no defense and that atheists do, indeed, have a conflict with Christians. That would naturally involve attacks, especially since atheists like to make so much noise.

It's what they say as an excuse to do it. Most of the 'gays' you hear about haven't ever passed this stage of 'experimentation'. I know this because I have witnessed it in my own life, had it repeatedly verified by psychologists, both secular and Christian, and there is no evidence otherwise.

You did abuse that verse, as in, you used it without its context, which completely changes the way it appears. You catered that little bit of yours. The kids mocked a prophet of God, and in old Testament times, part of the law was respect for God and His appointed leaders. I know for a fact that God loves children, as Jesus Himself loved to talk to them, and spend time with them. He told us that the Father cared deeply about them. What you want to hear is the issue, not what I want to hear.

1) It keeps you interested in a fight that isnt there.

A) There must be a fight if i must defend myself.

B)Why should we have to defend God If there isn't a fight?

2) Where in the article did it say you needed God to do good things?

A) That is right it isn't in the article but you brought it up.

Good people can do Good things With out God, Evil people

can do good things with out God.

B) Doing good things will not get anyone to heaven Only faith IN JESUS CHRIST will get anyone into heaven.

Justaguy i can not make you believe and you can not make me dibelieve. But please don't tell me what i belive

3) and 4) You believe some people wake up and say to themselves, "I want to be Gay".

Religion has a way to cloud your judgement and makes you easily influenced to take in orders to do things normally you shouldn't do. Like blow yourself up, or fight for dirt which you claim to be holy. That's right, dirt. Even discriminate people with mental problems. All useless. Again I don't want to blow anyone up nor do i want to discrminate people with mental problmes! I don't believe I have told you what you believe. so please stop telling me.

You did take the verse in II Kings out of context the word for childern is na'ar and can mean any where from a newborn to young adult. So what we have going on in the end of chapter 2 is as follows: 23And he went up from thence unto Bethel. And as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him and said unto him, "Go up, thou bald head! Go up, thou bald head!"

24And he turned back and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two shebears out of the wood and tore forty and two children of them.

25And he went from thence to Mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

so Elisha was being threatened by at least 42 young adults which were most likely armed because they stayed to fight the two bears.

Here is some veres of what Jesus thinks About Young Children:

mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God

Matthew 19:13-14 13Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

14But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven

Matthew 18:6 (King James Version)

King James Version (KJV)

6But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
